Nico Marvin Monien (born 8 April 1990 in Berlin) is a German racing driver.

Career

ADAC Formel Masters

Despite beginning his karting career in 2006, 2008 saw his debut in the ADAC Formel Masters championship with URD Rennsport. Monien finished as runner-up in the championship with two wins at TT Circuit Assen [1] and Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. [2]

Formula Three

In 2009, Monien stepped up to the German Formula Three Championship with Zettl Sportsline. He finished fifth in the standings after taking six podium places, including a win at EuroSpeedway Lausitz. [3] Also he appeared as a guest driver for Mücke Motorsport at the Formula 3 Euro Series finale at Hockenheim. [4]

The 2006 Formula 3 Euro Series season was the fourth championship year of Europe’s premier Formula Three series. As in previous years, there were ten rounds – each with two races – held at a variety of European circuits. Each weekend consisted of one 60-minute practice session and one qualifying session, followed by one c.110 km race and one c.80 km race. In a revised qualifying system that used only one session, the starting order for race 2 was determined by the finishing order of race 1, with the top eight positions reversed.

The 2005 Formula 3 Euro Series season was the third championship year of Europe's premier Formula Three series. The championship consisted of ten rounds – each with two races – held at a variety of European circuits. Each weekend consisted of one 60-minute practice session and two 30-minute qualifying sessions, followed by one c.110 km race and one c.80 km race. Each qualifying session awarded one bonus point for pole position and each race awarded points for the top eight finishers, with ten points per win. Lewis Hamilton dominated the season, winning 15 of the 20 races and scoring nearly twice as many points as his nearest rival, team-mate Adrian Sutil. As of now, six drivers have competed in Formula One.

The 2010 ADAC Formel Masters season was the third season of the ADAC Formel Masters series from Germany. Richie Stanaway won twelve of the first 18 races en route to claiming championship victory with a meeting to spare. His team ma-con Motorsport also claimed the teams' championship at the Nürburgring round of the series. German drivers Patrick Schranner and Mario Farnbacher finished second and third in the points.

The 2013 ATS Formel 3 Cup was the 11th edition of the German F3 Cup in motorsport. The season began on 27 April at Oschersleben and finished on 29 September at Hockenheim after nine race weekends, with 26 races – one race at the Nürburgring was cancelled – completed in total. The championship was dominated by Marvin Kirchhöfer in his debut year finishing with 25 podiums including 13 wins.
