Niels Thorborg (born February 19, 1964) is the chairman of the Danish football club Odense Boldklub. He is also the former richest person on Funen with a fortune of 3.1 billion Danish kroner. [1]

Niels Thorborg received negative publicity due to Dinex’s ongoing business with Russian company Kamaz following the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The criticism stems from Dinex’s (now discontinued) sale of emission systems to Kamaz, which is known for its production of lorries for commercial and military use. The emission systems sold, however, were not suited for use in military vehicle due to their specific environmental standards, and Dinex has not been supplying products for military use for the past 10-15 years. The BPM-97 or Выстрел is the Russian military designation for the KAMAZ 43269 Vystrel 4×4 wheeled mine-resistant, ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle. It is produced fitted with several different turrets like the one of the BTR-80A. The vehicle is based on the KAMAZ-43269 and was designed for the Russian Border Guards. The American jazz musician Ben Webster spent his last ten years in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he became an active part of the city's thriving jazz scene. After his death, the Ben Webster Foundation was set up to channel his annual royalties to musicians in Denmark and America. The Ben Webster Prize is part of this effort.

Niels Ebbesen Mortensen Bukh was a Danish gymnast and educator who founded the first athletic folk high school in Ollerup in Funen, Denmark. He achieved international fame as a gymnastics trainer for the Danish team at the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912. He was inspired by the rhythmic female gymnastics of the Finnish gymnastics educator Elli Björkstén(1870–1947) and the medical gymnastics of Kaare Theilmann.

The Niels Brock House is a historic property located at Strandgade 36 in the Christianshavn neighbourhood of Copenhagen, Denmark. The property comprises the former warehouse at Wildersgade 51 on the other side of the block as well as a number of side wings in the yard. The building takes its name after the businessman Niels Brock for whom it was adapted in the 1780s. Other notable former residents include the historian Peter Vilhelm Jacobsen (1799–1848) and the businessman Christian August Broberg. The entire complex was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918.
Helle Thorborg is a Danish painter and graphic designer. In her colour graphics, she uses strong contrasts creating images resembling collages. She has decorated a number of Danish buildings, including the pulpit in Gimsing Church near Struer, and has designed scenery for the Folketeatret's experimental stage.
The Sigvert Grubbe House is a Renaissance style townhouse situated at Strandgade 28 in the Chrstianshavn neighborhood of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The property comprises the building at Wildersgade 41 on the other side of the block as well as a half-timbered building separating two central courtyards from each other. The apartment on the first floor features a number of murals attributed to Nicolai Abildgaard. The entire complex was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1918. It takes its name after its first owner, Sigbert Grubbe, a favourite of ChristianIV. It was later owned by Jacob Benjamin Italiaender, a Sphardi Jew, who established a tobacco manufactory as well as a private sunagogue in the yard. The painter Peder Severin Krøyer grew up in the building in the 1860s.
Kompagnistræde 20 is a Neoclassical building complex situated at the corner of Kompagnistræde and Knabrostræde in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark, constructed in 1796–97 as part of the rebuilding of the city following the Copenhagen Fire of 1795. A brewery was for more than 200 years, from at least the late 1640s until the 1860s, operated on the site. The building complex comprises a residential corner building as well as an adjacent warehouse at Knabrostræde 16 and another warehouse in the courtyard. The entire complex was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1945. Notable former residents include the government official Jacob Gude, civil servant and later Minister of Interior Affairs I.J. Unsgaard and painter and photographer Edvard Valdemar Harboe.
