Nigel Spratley (born 1 April 1970) is an English athlete who competes in the shot put. He has a personal best distance of 17.96 metres. [1]
The shot put is a track and field event involving "putting" a heavy spherical object—the shot—as far as possible. The shot put competition for men has been a part of the modern Olympics since their revival in 1896, and women's competition began in 1948.
Spratley competed at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada finishing in 7th place with his personal best performance. [2] He also won a bronze medal at the 1991 UK Championships with a distance of 16.99 metres. [3]

Angela Rosemary Tooby-Smith is a British former long-distance runner. Helen Daniel is an English former athlete who competed mainly in the 800 metres. She won the 800m title at the 1990 UK Championships, and finished third at the AAA Championships in 1986, 1987 and 1988. Her 800m lifetime best of 2:01.86 was set on 10 July 1987 in London.
