Nijat Gurbanov (Azerbaijani : Nicat Qurbanov; born 17 February 1992) is an Azerbaijani footballer who plays as a right winger for Georgian club Samtredia.

The Azerbaijan Cup 2009–10 was the 18th season of the annual cup competition in Azerbaijan. It started on 17 September 2009 with four games of the preliminary round and ended on 22 May 2009 with the Final held at Tofiq Bahramov Stadium in Baku. FK Karabakh were the defending champions. Twenty teams competed in this year's competition.

The 2010–11 Azerbaijan Premier League was the nineteenth season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. The fixtures were announced on 29 July 2010; the season began on 7 August 2010 and ended on 28 May 2011. Neftchi Baku were the eventual champions, winning their first Azerbaijani championship since 2005.

The 2011–12 Azerbaijan Premier League was the twentieth season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. Neftchi Baku was the defending champions, having won their second Azerbaijani championship the previous season.

The Turan Tovuz 2011–12 season is Turan Tovuz's nineteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They finished the regular season in 12th place, meaning they took part in the Relegation group. They finished this group in 5th place, 11th over the whole league, and were put into the Relegation play-offs against FK Karvan. However this match didn't take place due to a decision by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan about licensing, deciding that no clubs from the First Division would be promoted. This meant that Turan Tovuz kept their place for the 2012–13 Azerbaijan Premier League season.

The Qarabağ 2011–12 season was Qarabağ's 19th Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their fourth season under Gurban Gurbanov. They finished the season in 4th place, and were knocked out of the 2011–12 Azerbaijan Cup at the Semi-final stage by FK Baku. They also participated in the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League, entering at the first qualifying round stage. They beat Banga Gargždai of Lithuania, before beating EB/Streymur of the Faroe Islands on away goals in the second qualifying round. They were knocked out of the Europa League in the third qualifying round against Club Brugge of Belgium, losing 4-2 on aggregate. Their kits was manufactured by Kappa and was sponsored by Azersun.

The Qarabağ 2012–13 season is Qarabağ's 20th Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their fifth season under Gurban Gurbanov. Qarabağ' will also compete in the 2012–13 Azerbaijan Cup.

The Kəpəz 2012–13 season was Kəpəz's third Azerbaijan Premier League season since their promotion back into the top flight. Kapaz started the season under Fuad Ismayilov, but he resigned on August 19, being replaced by Mahmud Gurbanov. Kəpəz finished the season in 12th place, getting relegated to the Azerbaijan First Division for the 2013-14 season, after being bottom of the league for all bar two weeks. They also participated in the 2012–13 Azerbaijan Cup, winning their first-round game against Qala 2-4, before losing to Qarabağ in extra time in the second round.

The Simurq PFC 2012–13 season was Simurq PFC's seventh Azerbaijan Premier League season, and it is their first full season under manager Giorgi Chikhradze. They finished the season in 4th place and were knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup at the Quarterfinals stage by Neftchi Baku.

The Qarabağ 2010–11 season was Qarabağ's 18th Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their third season under Gurban Gurbanov. They finished the season in 3rd place, and were knocked out of the 2010–11 Azerbaijan Cup at the Last 16 stage by Turan Tovuz. They also participated in the 2010–11 UEFA Europa League, entering at the first qualifying round stage. They beat Metalurg Skopje of Macedonia, before beating Portadown of Northern Ireland in the second qualifying round. Next they beat Wisła Kraków of Poland in the second qualifying round to make them the first Azerbaijani team to reach the Play-off Round of the Europa League. In this round they were defeated by Borussia Dortmund of Germany 5-0 on aggregate.

They finished the season in 3rd place, and were knocked out of the 2009–10 Azerbaijan Cup at the quarterfinal stage by Khazar Lankaran. They also participated in the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League, entering at the Second Qualifying Round stage. They beat Rosenborg BK of Norway, before beating FC Honka of Finland in the Third Qualifying Round. This meant they faced FC Twente of the Netherlands in the Play-off Round, which they lost 1-3 on aggregate.

The Qarabağ 2008–09 season was Qarabağ's 16th Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their first season under Gurban Gurbanov. They finished the season in 5th place, and won the Azerbaijan Cup defeating Inter Baku in the final.

The Qarabağ 2013–14 season was Qarabağ's 21st Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their sixth season under manager Gurban Gurbanov. They reached the Quarterfinals of the Azerbaijan Cup, losing to Gabala, and they were crowned Champions of the Premier League. Qarabağ also competed in the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League entering at the 1st qualifying round stage. They defeated Metalurg Skopje of Macedonia, Piast Gliwice of Poland and Gefle of Sweden on their way to the playoff round where they were knocked out by Eintracht Frankfurt of Germany.

The Simurq PFC 2011–12 season was Simurq PFC's sixth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They started the season under the management of Sergei Yuran, before his contract was mutually terminated on 5 March. Igor Getman was appointed as the club's caretaker manager from the 5th to 11 March, when Giorgi Chikhradze was then appointed as their permanent manager. They finished the season in 9th position and were knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup at the first round stage by vs Neftchi Baku.

The Neftchi Baku 2007–08 season was Neftchi Baku's sixteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They started the season under the management of Gurban Gurbanov, who was replaced by Vlastimil Petržela after the UEFA Cup qualifiers at the start of September. Petržela was replaced by Anatoliy Demyanenko on 5 January 2008. They finished 3rd in the league and were knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup at the semifinal stage by Inter Baku. Neftchi also took part in the UEFA Cup, being eliminated at the First qualifying round by SV Ried of Austria.

The Neftchi Baku 2006–07 season was Neftchi Baku's fifteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season. This was their first, and only, season with Gurban Gurbanov as their manager. They finished 2nd in the league behind Khazar Lankaran and were knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup at the semifinal stage by MKT Araz.

The 2014–15 season was Gabala's tenth season overall and ninth competing in the Azerbaijan Premier League.

The Simurq 2014–15 season is Simurq's ninth Azerbaijan Premier League season. They will compete in the 2014–15 Azerbaijan Premier League and the 2014–15 Azerbaijan Cup. Giorgi Chikhradze left his position as manager on 16 July 2014.

The Qarabağ 2014–15 season was Qarabağ's 22nd Azerbaijan Premier League season and their seventh season under manager Gurban Gurbanov. They completed a domestic double by defending their Premier League title and winning the Azerbaijan Cup. In Europe, Qarabağ were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League in the 3rd qualifying round by Red Bull Salzburg, resulting in them going into the Play-off round for the UEFA Europa League. In the Europa League, Qarabağ reached the group stages for the first time, where they finished third, behind Internazionale and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, and ahead of Saint-Étienne.

The 2018–19 Azerbaijan Cup was the 27th season of the annual cup competition in Azerbaijan.
