Marie Eleonor Serneholt is a Swedish singer and model. She was a member of the Swedish pop band A*Teens from 1998 to 2004, and briefly pursued a solo recording career after the band dissolved.
Nicole Houston Reed, known as Nikki Reed, is an American actress known for her portrayal of vampire Rosalie Hale in The Twilight Saga (2008–2012). She became known in 2003, after the release of the film Thirteen, directed by Catherine Hardwicke, for which she was credited with Hardwicke as a co-writer of the screenplay, and in which she played a lead role. The film earned Reed an Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance, as well as several nominations.

Part of the Idols franchise, it originated from the reality program Pop Idol created by British entertainment executive Simon Fuller, which was first aired in 2001 in the United Kingdom.
Carolina Gynning Nilsson is a Swedish glamour model, actor, author, jewelry designer and television presenter. She started her career as a model at age sixteen. She was a participant in the Swedish version of Big Brother in 2004 and emerged as the winner of that season. Gynning has since made a career as a television presenter on TV4 and Kanal5, and also as an artist and author of several books. Gynning has participated in several television shows after Big Brother such as I huvudet på Gynning and as a celebrity dancer in season one of Let's Dance.
Ola Nils Håkan Svensson is a Swedish artist and songwriter, known professionally by the mononym Ola until 2014, and as Brother Leo from 2018 to present. Born in Lund, Skåne, his career began in 2005, when he finished eighth on season two of Swedish Idol. Since then, Ola has released four studio albums. Eleven of his singles have reached the top five on the Swedish singles chart, with six achieving number one, and nine attaining gold and platinum certifications. After being signed to Universal Music for many years, Ola founded his own record label Oliniho Records for the Swedish market, keeping distribution arrangements with Sony Music in Europe and internationally. Following a four-year break, he returned in 2018, recording under the stage name Brother Leo for Columbia Records.

Rabih Jaber, also known by his mononym Rabih is a Swedish singer of Lebanese origin. He is a former participant of Swedish Idol 2009, where he finished in seventh place. Jaber and Eddie Razaz, yet another Idol participant, became a duo pop boy band as Rebound! in 2010 with a number of hits on the Swedish charts. After the split-up of the duo in April 2011, Jaber continued for a while as a solo singer. He has of recent years made a career as a songwriter for other artists.

Jasmine Karolina Kara Khatib-Nia, known by her stage name Jasmine Kara, is a Swedish-Iranian singer, songwriter, and author. Her breakthrough came in the summer of 2010, when she sang in Allsång på Skansen and at a concert held in connection with the Wedding of Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, and Daniel Westling. Since then, she has been in many Swedish music TV shows such as Let's Dance on TV4, Lotta på Liseberg, Moraeus Med Mera. and has toured in Sweden, Japan, UK and the United States.

Idol 2016 is the twelfth season of the Swedish Idol series. This is the first year with a new jury consisting of Fredrik Kempe, Nikki Amini and Quincy Delight Jones III. Presenter of the show is as previous Pär Lernström. The show is broadcast on TV4.
Idol 2017 is the thirteenth season of the Swedish Idol series. This year, Anders Bagge returned as a judge after a two-year absence. Kishti Tomita returned as a judge as well, since her departure in 2007. Nikki Amini also returned as judge, having made her debut last season. Alexander Kronlund was the new judge. Pär Lernström returned as the host. Gina Dirawi joined as co-host.
Ida Rebecka Eloise Karlsson is a Swedish singer. At the age of eight she participated in Talang 2009 which is broadcast on TV4. She again participated on the show in Talang 2014 which was broadcast on TV3, making it to the semifinal. In 2014, she signed with Popopjone Records and released the music single "Ghost Flower", which also became the official song for the LGBT-festival Pride Ung in Stockholm. Karlsson participated as a contestant on Idol 2016, ending up in second place during the 8 December final in Globen. She competed in Melodifestivalen 2019 with the song "Who I Am" and made it to the Second Chance Round.
Idol 2020 was the sixteenth season of the Swedish Idol series. Like earlier seasons, the season was broadcast on TV4. New for this year is that one person got to audition for this season already during the final of Idol 2019 in Globen, Rebecka Assio made it through to the final audition in Stockholm.
Idol 2021 was the seventeenth season of the Swedish Idol series. The show will be broadcast on TV4 and starts on 23 August 2021. Judge member Nikki Amini left the show after the sixtenth season.
