Panjgur is a district in the west Balochistan province of Pakistan. Panjgur was one of three districts of Makran District until 1 July 1977, when the district became a part of Makran Division. The other two districts of Makran Division are Kech (Turbat) and Gwadar. Chitkan is the district headquarter. Panjgur has sixteen (16) Union Councils.
Awaran District, is a district in the south of the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It was created as a separate district in November 1992; but previously it was a sub-division of Khuzdar District. The old name of Awaran was Kolwa. It is considered the poorest district in the province.
Panjgur or Panggur, with the older name Bannajbur and Fannazbur is a small town in Panjgur District, Balochistan. It is known for growing dates and accounts for more than 50 percent of dates produced in Pakistan.
Makran was an autonomous princely state in a subsidiary alliance with British India until 1947, then from 1948 a princely state of Pakistan. It ceased to exist in 1955. It was located in the extreme southwest of present-day Pakistan, an area now occupied by the districts of Gwadar, Kech and Panjgur. The state did not include the enclave of Gwadar, which was under Omani rule until 1958.
Makran Division is an administrative division of Balochistan Province, Pakistan. It is the eastern component of the larger Makran region shared between Pakistan and Iran, located in southern Balochistan along the Gulf of Oman coast.

The Rakshan River rises at the Nidoki pass, south-west of Shireza, district Washuk, Balochistan, Pakistan. It is known as Nag river over there, and runs south-westward, it unites with the lop stream at a point to west of Nag-e-Kalat. It then flows west-south-west through the centre of the long valley which in its centre comprises the Panjgur city, Makran, parallel with the river also runs Siahan Range on the north and Zangi Lak hills on the south. At its start, the Rakshan possesses little or no water, however, in Panjgur it expands into a series of bright clear pools connected with each other by small water channels running over a pebbly bed. The banks here are bordered with numerous date palms and most of the water is used for irrigation. To the west of Kallag, the last village in Panjgur is Dabbag, where there are more pools and many long grass, tamarisk and kahur trees in which wild pigs were to be found in the early 20th century.
Parom is a Tehsil in Panjgur District in Balochistan, Pakistan, the historical area of Parom was divided by the Goldsmith line thus a small part of it falls in Iranian territory. According to the local legend, it was also known as Gulshan meaning "rose garden". The word Parom means "growth" in the Balochi language and is attributed to Parom due to its mild climate and the fertile soil which supports more than one crop per year. Today the region has two union council, Parom and Koh Bun. The population numbers around 50,000 people.
Mullazai (ملازئی) is a Baloch tribe found in Panjgur District (پنجگور) of Balochistan, Pakistan and Tank District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. They are known as 'Mullas' and are descendants of Mir Mulla Shehsawar, who they claim to have migrated from Iran Sarbaz in 1513AD. The Mullazai tribe numbers in Panjgur are about 200 families or about 5000 persons. Other tribes associated with the Mullazai settled in Panjgur, Mastung, Sorab, Kalat, Kharan, Quetta, Kucklak, Nushki, Dalbandin, Qandahar and Iran.
The University of Turbat (UOT) is a public university situated in Turbat, Balochistan, Pakistan. University of Turbat is the second General University in public sector, chartered by the Government of Balochistan vide Act 2012 passed by the Balochistan Provincial Assembly in May, 2012. The main objective of the establishment of the University of Turbat in the Mekran region in Balochistan is to provide better opportunities of higher education to the students of Turbat (Kech) and adjoining districts of Panjgur, Gwadar and Awaran. With the establishment of the University of Turbat, substantial number of students will be enrolled initially from different parts of province mainly from Mekran will have a direct effect on the social environment of the families of the students and indirectly to the society. With the introduction of market valued subjects, about 500 job opportunities annually would be created directly benefiting the social wellbeing of a segment of the population in the region. The first vice chancellor of the university was Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir (TI).
PB-42 (Panjgur-I) is a constituency of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan.
PB-43 (Panjgur-II) is a constituency of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan.
On 29 July 2017, a bombing took place in Panjgur District, Balochistan, Pakistan near Iran–Pakistan border. Four people were killed while five others were injured. Security forces rushed to the site of attack. The nature of the explosion is still unclear. No group have claimed responsibility of the attack. It is reported that Iranian border guards started firing after bombing which delayed rescue services. CM Punjab condemned the attack.
Rahmat Saleh Baloch is a Pakistani politician who was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan, from May 2013 to May 2018.
NA-268 (Chagai-cum-Nushki-cum-Kharan) is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It comprises the districts of Chagai, Nushki and Kharan from the province of Balochistan. It was created in 2018 out of two former constituencies namely NA-260 (Quetta-cum-Chagai-cum-Mastung) and NA-271 (Kharan-cum-Panjgur) by taking out areas of Chagai and Kharan districts respectively and merging with areas of Nushki District to create this constituency.
NA-270 (Panjgur-cum-Washuk-cum-Awaran) is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It comprises the districts of Panjgur, Washuk and Awaran from the province of Balochistan. It was created in 2018 by taking parts of Panjgur District and Awaran District from NA-271 (Kharan-cum-Panjgur) and NA-270 (Awaran-cum-Lasbela) respectively and combining them with Washuk District in this constituency.
NA-271 (Kech) is a constituency for the National Assembly of Pakistan. It covers whole of the district of Kech in the province of Balochistan. The constituency was created in 2018 out of NA-272 (Kech-cum-Gwadar) by taking out Kech District and making it a separate constituency.
On 16 February 2019, armed men attacked and killed two Frontier Corps in Loralai. Later on 17 February 2019, another attack took place on Pakistani security personnel in which four members of the Frontier Corps were killed in the Gardab area of Panjgur District. The attack was carried out by the Baloch Raji Ajoi Sangar (BRAS), an alliance of three Balochi terrorist organizations, the Baloch Liberation Army, Balochistan Liberation Front and Baloch Republican Guard.
