Nikon Corporation, also known just as Nikon, is a Japanese multinational corporation headquartered in Tokyo, Japan; it specializes in creating and marketing optics and imaging products. The companies held by Nikon form the Nikon Group.
The Nikon Coolpix 950 was a digital camera released by Nikon in early 1999. The 950 model superseded the Coolpix 900 in the Nikon Coolpix series. The Coolpix 950 was a durable camera with swivel lens, magnesium body, a maximum resolution of 1600×1200, 83× optical zoom and a minimum focusing distance of 2 cm. It was in turn superseded by the Coolpix 990.
The Canon PowerShot G is a series of digital cameras introduced by Canon in its PowerShot line in 2000. The G series cameras are Canon's flagship compact models aimed at photography enthusiasts desiring more flexibility than a point-and-shoot without the bulk of a digital single-lens reflex camera.

The Nikon Coolpix 8400 is a digital camera announced September 16, 2004, succeeding the Nikon Coolpix 5400. It is a high-end model among the brand's range of bridge cameras with eight megapixels, only below the Nikon Coolpix 8800 equipped with a more powerful zoom lens. Besides its pixel count, its main selling point is the very wide angle lens, equivalent to a 24 mm in 135 film format. Its only competitor at a comparable price is the Kodak EasyShare P880, which has longer telephoto lens but is bigger and lacks a swivelling screen.
Bridge cameras are cameras that fill the niche between relatively simple point-and-shoot cameras and interchangeable-lens cameras such as mirrorless cameras and single-lens reflex cameras (SLRs). They are often comparable in size and weight to the smallest digital SLRs (DSLR), but lack interchangeable lenses, and almost all digital bridge cameras lack an optical viewfinder system. The phrase "bridge camera" has been in use at least since the 1980s, and continues to be used with digital cameras. The term was originally used to refer to film cameras which "bridged the gap" between point-and-shoot cameras and SLRs.
The Kodak EasyShare V570 was a 5-megapixel digital camera manufactured by Eastman Kodak. Announced on January 2, 2006, it was an upper-end model in the consumer price range, advertised at $400 in the United States in January 2006. It had an innovative dual lens system, combining two periscopic groups each with its own sensor: one very wide angle equivalent to a 23 mm in 135 format and a 3X zoom equivalent to a 39–117 mm, totalizing a virtual 5X zoom, with a step between 23 and 39 mm. It is the first dual lens digital camera. The model won a gold medal in the 2006 Industrial Design Excellence Awards.
The Nikon Coolpix 4300 is a digital camera that was made by Nikon. It was first released on October 1, 2002, and is no longer in production. At 4.0 effective megapixels, it is capable of delivering 2,272 × 1,704 pixel images. An included lens cap protects its Nikkor 3× optical Zoom lens, with a focal length of 8 to 24 mm, as well as an aperture of f/2.8–4.9 and shutter speed of 8–1/1,000 sec. It is capable of ISO equivalents of 100, 200, and 400.

The Nikon D40 is Nikon F-mount entry-level digital SLR, announced November 16, 2006 and made until March 2009, when it was succeeded by the Nikon D3000. Compared to its predecessor, the D50, the D40 had several features removed, a few added, and a lower price: US$499.95 ESP as of November 2009 with the 18–55 mm G-II kit lens, positioning it as an entry-level model compared to the D80. The D40x has a 10-megapixel maximum resolution, up from 6 megapixels of the D40 and D50.
Olympus SP-350 is 8-megapixel compact digital camera. The model was announced by its maker on August 29, 2005.
The "FinePix Z5 FD" is an ultracompact 6.3 megapixel digital camera produced by Fujifilm measuring 92.8(W) × 55.0(H) × 19.4(D)mm. It is an autofocus camera made in three colors: raspberry red, mocha brown, and silver. In Japan it was also available in a mix of black and white colors. As with other Finepix models, the Z5fd was also extensively promoted in Japan by Yuri "Ebi-chan" Ebihara. The camera uses a non-protruding, folded optics design Fujinon 3× zoom lens system (F3.5–F4.2) with a focal length of F6.1-18.3 mm which is equivalent to 36–108 mm on a 35 mm camera.
The Minolta 9xi was, when released in 1992, an advanced 35 mm single-lens reflex camera design. It incorporated the world's fastest autofocus system, had a maximum shutter speed of 1/12000 of a second and a 14-zone metering system.

It is known as the EOS Kiss X3 in Japan, and as the EOS Rebel T1i in North America. It continues the Rebel line of mid-range DSLR cameras, is placed by Canon as the next model up from the EOS 450D, and has been superseded by the EOS 550D (T2i).

The Canon EOS 600D is an 18.0 megapixel digital single-lens reflex camera, released by Canon on 7 February 2011. It is known as the EOS Kiss X5 in Japan and the EOS Rebel T3i in America. The 600D is the second Canon EOS camera with an articulating LCD screen and supersedes the 550D, although the earlier model was not discontinued until June 2012, when the successor of the 600D, the 650D, was announced.
