The Nikon Coolpix series are digital compact cameras in many variants produced by Nikon. It includes superzoom, bridge, travel-zoom, miniature compact and waterproof/rugged cameras.
The Nikon Coolpix 950 was a digital camera released by Nikon in early 1999. The 950 model superseded the Coolpix 900 in the Nikon Coolpix series. The Coolpix 950 was a durable camera with swivel lens, magnesium body, a maximum resolution of 1600×1200, 83× optical zoom and a minimum focusing distance of 2 cm. It was in turn superseded by the Coolpix 990.
The Nikon Coolpix 5200 is a digital camera manufactured and distributed by Nikon. It features 5.1 megapixels, and a 3x optical/4x digital zoom. It is part of the Nikon Coolpix line of cameras Technology.
The Nikon Coolpix 8400 is a digital camera announced September 16, 2004, succeeding the Nikon Coolpix 5400. It is a high-end model among the brand's range of bridge cameras with eight megapixels, only below the Nikon Coolpix 8800 equipped with a more powerful zoom lens. Besides its pixel count, its main selling point is the very wide angle lens, equivalent to a 24 mm in 135 film format. Its only competitor at a comparable price is the Kodak EasyShare P880, which has longer telephoto lens but is bigger and lacks a swivelling screen.
The Nikon Coolpix 4300 is a digital camera that was made by Nikon. It was first released on October 1, 2002, and is no longer in production. At 4.0 effective megapixels, it is capable of delivering 2,272 × 1,704 pixel images. An included lens cap protects its Nikkor 3× optical Zoom lens, with a focal length of 8 to 24 mm, as well as an aperture of f/2.8–4.9 and shutter speed of 8–1/1,000 sec. It is capable of ISO equivalents of 100, 200, and 400.
The Nikon Coolpix 995 was announced on April 25, 2001 to supersede the Coolpix 990 in the Nikon Coolpix series. Similar in appearance to the 990, changes include a switch to a high-impact plastic case for the lens half of the swivel body, a pop-up flash to reduce red-eye by moving the bulb away from the lens, an increase in zoom capability to 4x, CompactFlash Type II compatibility and use of the EN-EL1 rechargeable Li-Ion battery in place of the previous four AA batteries.

Other features include D-Lighting and Face-priority AF.
