Nilotpal Mrinal (born 25 December 1984) is an Indian author, poet, socio-political activist and social media influencer. He is known for his books Dark Horse,Aughad and Yaar Jadugar. [1] In 2016, he was awarded India's Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar.
Mrinal was born on 25 December 1984 in Dumka district, Jharkhand.[ citation needed ] He attended high school in Nonihat and graduated from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi in 2005. He moved to New Delhi in 2008, where he began preparing to enter civil service and had given the Civil Services Examination (CSE) several times.[ citation needed ]
Mrinal's first novel, Dark Horse, [2] was published in 2015. Written in Hindi, it depicts the difficulties of leaving village life for that of the city, and is set against the backdrop of Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi. It received the Sahitya Academy Yuva Puraskar in 2016. [3]
Four years later he released a second novel, Aughad. [4] [5] Recently Mrinal released his third novel 'Yar Jadugar'.[ citation needed ]
He also writes poetry and folk songs, and has appeared as a motivational speaker for TED (conference) and Josh Talks.[ citation needed ]
Harishankar Parsai was an Indian writer who wrote in Hindi. He was a noted satirist and humorist of modern Hindi literature and is known for his simple and direct style. He wrote vyangya (satire), which described human values and nature. They reflected his critical thinking and humorous way of describing simple things with huge meanings. Parsai won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1982, for his satire, Viklaang Shraddha ka daur.
Pandit Makhanlal Chaturvedi, also called Pandit ji, was an Indian poet, writer, essayist, playwright and a journalist who is particularly remembered for his participation in India's national struggle for independence and his contribution to Chhayavaad, the Neo-romanticism movement of Hindi literature.
