Nemrah Niazi (pen name: Nemrah Ahmed; born 9 September 1990 in Bhakkar, Pakistan) is a Pakistani Urdu language novelist and author. She is originally from Mianwali.

Career

Nemrah Ahmad published her first novel Mere Khuab, Mere Jugnu at the age of 16 in 2007 in Shuaa Digest, a women's monthly magazine, which later got published as a hardcover book. After obtaining her Master's degree in English Literature, she undertook writing as a full-time job. [1] She has written 12 novels till date. Each novel carries different themes than others. Her breakthrough novel was Mus'haf, which was Best Selling Urdu Book at New Delhi World Book Fair 2017. [2]

Writing style

Nemrah Ahmad has a unique style of incorporating the Qur'an and its verses in her writings. Her works are known for their thorough research and exploration of various themes and styles. She earned a place on The News Women Power 50 list for three consecutive years.[ citation needed ]

Zanjabeel

In March 2016, Nemrah Ahmad launched her own bookstore, Zanjabeel. [3] The name "Zanjabeel" is derived from the Arabic word for ginger and represents one of the springs in Jannah. In this context, water symbolizes Wahi Ilahi (divine revelation), Ilm (knowledge), and wisdom. Thus, this bookstore being the source of knowledge and wisdom "Zanjabeel," signifies a small spring of enlightenment. [4]

Ishtiaq Ahmad, was a Pakistani fiction writer famous for his spy and detective novels in the Urdu language, particularly the Inspector Jamshaid series. He was born in Karnal now in India. Then his family migrated to city Jhang in Pakistan. He started his career by writing short stories for children and then wrote his first novel in 1973. He is the author of the highest number of novels by any author in any language throughout the world. He was influenced by the Urdu fiction writer Ibn-e-Safi.

Umera Ahmed is a Pakistani writer, author and screenwriter. She is best known for her novels and plays Shehr-e-Zaat, Pir-e-Kamil, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Alif, Durr-e-Shehwar, Daam, Man-o-Salwa, Qaid-e-Tanhai, Digest Writer, Maat, Kankar, Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Doraha and Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay. Umera Ahmed is one of the most widely read and popular Urdu fiction novelists and screenplay writers of this era.

<i>Nahin Abhi Nahin</i> 1980 Pakistani film

Nahin Abhi Nahin is a 1980 Pakistani romantic Urdu film directed by Nazar-ul-Islam. The movie introduced the new actors Faisal, Ayaz Naik, and Arzoo. While the star actress Shabnam was in the lead role. Nahin Abhi Nahin was a golden jubilee hit of the year. The movie song, "Saman wo Khawab sa saman", composed by Robin Ghosh and vocalized by Akhlaq Ahmed, became a very popular track. The film was based on 1971 American film Summer of '42.

Kamal Ahmed, was a Pakistani film music director. He has the second-highest number of film scores of more than 100 Urdu movies, after M. Ashraf who did more than 250 Urdu movies as a music director. Kamal won 6 'Best Musician' Nigar Awards during his long film career.
