Ninezero (born Craig Andrew Schweizer, 18 October) is an Australian rock/metal singer, songwriter and musician. He is influenced by heavy metal and hard rock to create a new kind of sound, referred to as power cacophony metal. [1] Born in Sydney, Australia. He currently resides in Tokyo, Japan.

Ninezero started his singing career singing in his high school choir and in classic musicals, such as The King and I , Oklahoma! and Kiss Me, Kate at the Riverside Theatre Parramatta. He moved on to singing in rock and heavy metal bands after graduating from the University of Newcastle, Australia.

Bands

Maziora The Band (2010–)

Ninezero joined forces with some of Japan's most famous musicians to form Maziora The Band. The line-up is Ninezero-vocals, Kentaro-guitar (gargoyle), Yoshito Onda-bass (Zamza, formerly from Judy and Mary, Presence) and Himawari-drums (Dustar-3, formerly from Sex Machineguns). [2]

Solo (2007– )

His solo career as Ninezero, adopting his own name as the band's name, began with 2008's album The Beginning. This album was followed up with Ninezero's debut CD Sanity released in 2009. Ninezero also sang the official theme song for WeROCK City, "Rock City" from The Beginning CD. [3]

Raiden (2003–2007)

Ninezero was originally in a band called Raiden. Raiden broke into the Japananse market with 2006's first album Sound of Thunder. Several songs from the CD are used as background music in music interviews for WeROCK City. [4]

GuitarFreaks and DrumMania

Ninezero is also the singer of Konami's GuitarFreaks and DrumMania series. He first appeared in the GuitarFreaks and DrumMania series with his original song, Inside-Out, in GuitarFreaks V4 and DrumMania V4 in 2007. [9] He also performed on two more tracks which were included in this series; Black NightDeep Purple [10] [11] and Rock And Roll All NiteKiss. [11] [12] He performed Inside-Out and Fire in the Dark at The Gitado Live Bemani 10th Memorial event [8] in 2007 with an attendance of over 2000 people at Zepp Tokyo in Tokyo, Japan. This performance was released on The Gitado Live Bemami 10th Anniversary Live DVD. [8] Inside-Out, Black Night and Rock And Roll All Nite were released on the GuitarFreaks V4 and DrumMania V4Rock X Rock CD by Konami in 2007. [13] He released his second original song, Far Beyond Blackened in GuitarFreaks V5 and DrumMania V5Rock To Infinity in 2008. [14] [15] This was followed by the inclusion of Far Beyond Blackened in GuitarFreaks V5 and DrumMania V5 Original Soundtracks CD in 2008. [16]

"Rock and Roll All Nite" is a song by American rock band Kiss, originally released on their 1975 album Dressed to Kill. It was released as the A-side of their fifth single, with the album track "Getaway". <i>Beatmania IIDX</i> (video game) 1999 music video game

Beatmania IIDX is an arcade music video game developed by Bemani and published by Konami. It was released in Japan on February 26, 1999. The objective is to perform songs using a controller with seven keys and a turntable. After the surprise success of Beatmania, Benami conceived IIDX to simulate an actual disc jockey (DJ) live performance. Its arcade cabinet contains a widescreen monitor, speakers, and eight spotlights. Bemani later developed several updated versions of IIDX to increased success. The game retrospectively received a positive reception from video game publications for its gameplay and increased difficulty. A sequel, Beatmania III, was released in 2000.

Rock Revolution is a music video game developed by Zoë Mode and HB Studios and published by Konami. The game was released on 15 October 2008 for the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360. As with similar titles, the game uses various controllers to simulate the performance of rock music, primarily using guitar and drum controllers on its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.

"Kiss with a Fist" is the debut single by indie rock band Florence and the Machine, taken from their debut studio album Lungs (2009). The single was released through Moshi Moshi Records on 9 June 2008 in the UK and was then released four months later on 6 October 2008 through IAMSOUND Records in the US. The B-side to "Kiss with a Fist" is a cover version of the Cold War Kids song "Hospital Beds".

Dance Dance Revolution Extreme has a robust soundtrack. It includes many licensed tracks as well as in-house original music that was written and performed by Konami staff.

The System 573 is an arcade system board made by Konami based on the original PlayStation. The hardware was used primarily for Konami's Bemani series of music video game arcades, including the popular Dance Dance Revolution series introduced in 1998. The System 573 is available is configurable with various expansion IO boards to add extra input or output, such as the analog and digital I/O boards for Dance Dance Revolution and other Bemani games. Systems with these IO boards are often called System 573 Analog and System 573 Digital respectively. There is also another variant called the System 573 Satellite Terminal which allows for up to 8 cabinets to be networked to a central one.

The Metal Gear video games consist of 17 different albums, totaling over 940 hours of music within the 11 games. There were four different music labels used for the albums in different games. These include Sony Entertainment, Konami Digital Entertainment, Phantom Studios, Sumthing Else Music Works, and King Records (Japan). The most used record labels were Konami Digital Entertainment and King Records. Konami was used for Metal Gear 20th Anniversary: Metal Gear Music Collection, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Original Soundtrack, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Original Soundtrack, and the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary: Metal Gear Music Collection, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. King Records was used for Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake Original Soundtrack, Metal Gear Solid Original Game Soundtrack, Metal Gear/ Solid Snake: Music Compilation of Hideo Kojima / Red Dis, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty Original Soundtrack, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty Soundtrack 2: The Other Side. Several different producers were used for different games. These include Konami, Masahiro Hinami, Noriakio Kamura, Norihiko Hibino, Tojima, Harry Gregson-Williams. Konami producing 6 out of the 11 Metal Gear games. The games used many different genres of music throughout the games. They are as follows: breakbeat, classical, drum and bass, electronic, hip hop, jazz, ambient, acoustic, Latin American, electronic rock, industrial metal, alternative metal, hard rock, power metal, neoclassical, romantic music, lounge, and rock and roll.
