Niranjan Bishi is an Indian politician and a member of the Rajya Sabha,upper house of the Parliament of India from Odisha as member of the Biju Janata Dal. [1] [2] [3] [4]
The Biju Janata Dal is a regional political party in the Indian state of Odisha founded and led by Naveen Patnaik,the current Chief Minister of Odisha and the son of former Chief Minister of Odisha Biju Patnaik,after whom the party is named. It was founded on 26 December 1997.

Previously,Dilip Tirkey was working as chairman of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC),now he is working as the chairman of Odisha Hockey Promotion Council. In September 2022,he was elected unopposed to the position of the president of Hockey India. He is the first ever international hockey player to become President of Hockey India Dilip Tirkey Sports Research Development Foundation short and abbreviated as DTSRD is an initiative of Padma Shri Dilip Tirkey.
