Bhekinkosi Mabhena (born 21 September 1991), known by the stage name of Nitefreak, is a Zimbabwean DJ and music producer. [1]
Bhekinkosi Mabhena was born on born 21 September 1991 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. [2] He began DJing in 2009 after his friend introduced him to music production software FL Studio. [3]
Nitefreak first started out as a beat-maker and music producer selling beats to local artists in Zimbabwe. [4]
His remix single "Premier Gaou" by Francis Mercier & Magic System was released on 15 March 2021. The song was certified Gold by Syndicat national de l'édition phonographique (SNEP).
In May 2023, Nitefreak was enlisted by 1001Tracklist's The Future Of Dance. [5] [6]
Nitefreak received the most nominations at the 2023 Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards, for Outstanding Male Artiste, Outstanding Kwaito/House/Gqom and won Outstanding Club DJ, Outstanding Song of the Year, and Outstanding (Worldwide Ambassador). [7]
"Gorah" by Nitefreak and Emmanuel Jal was released on 3 November 2023. [8]
On 28 February 2023, Nitefreak, Francis Mercier and Michael Brun were interviewed by Forbes magazine contributor Lisa Kocay as part of their Black History Month campaign. [9]

On January 1, 2017, Tehn Diamond made his debut in the music industry with the release of his first album A Few Good Poems. Oscar Sibonginkosi Mdlongwa is a South African recording artist, DJ, record producer and businessman. Having been in the music industry for over 26 years, Oskido has reached a prominent status in the South African music industry, more-so in popular youth culture. The Soul Brothers is a South African Mbaqanga music group from KwaZulu-Natal formed in 1975 by Moses Ngwenya and David Masondo. They released over 45 albums including two solo albums that were released by the lead vocalist David Masondo in collaboration with Deborah Fraser, most of which earned them gold status in the Recording Industry of South Africa. In total the band has sold of over five million copies of their entire albums. In 2001, the band won South Africa Music Awards for the song "Intombi Yam", and in 2011, the band won South Africa Music Awards for best Mbaqanga album. In early 1976, the band released a single, "Mshoza Wami" which sold over 60 000 units within three months which was a rare achievement in the Mbhaqanga music genre. The band has visited many countries and performed in different notable events.
