Nitin Kumar Gupta is an Indian film director, producer, and music composer known for his work in Hindi cinema. His films include Road to Sangam (2010), Sayonee (2020), Love In Ukraine (2022), Walk (2023), and L.A.C. Battle of Galwan (2025).
Gupta graduated with an MBBS degree from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College in Mumbai. [1]
Gupta has composed music for Hindi films and children's content on YouTube, including the series Bob the Train, Farmees, and Junior Squad. [2] He composed the original score for Road to Sangam (2010), which won the Best Foreign Film Original Score at the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival. [3]
Sayonee is an action thriller filmed in Russia and Dubai, released on December 18, 2020. The film stars Tanmay Ssingh, Musskan Sethi, and Rahul Roy. It features a rendition of the song "Sayonee" by Arijit Singh. [4]
Love In Ukraine was filmed in Ukraine before the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The film was released on May 27, 2022, and collected ₹1.4 crore in its opening weekend. [5] During the Russian invasion, three Ukrainian actors from the film were reported missing. [6]
Walk stars Rahul Roy and Archana Puran Singh and depicts the journey of migrant workers during India's COVID-19 lockdown. The film won over 50 international awards and marks Roy's comeback after recovering from a brain stroke. [7]
L.A.C. Battle of Galwan is a single-shot war film based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. Shot in November 2020 in Kargil, the 83-minute film was filmed in one continuous take at temperatures of minus 14°C. During production, actor Rahul Roy was hospitalized after suffering a brain stroke. [8]
The film was submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification in June 2022. According to the director, the CBFC requested modifications including removal of "LAC" from the title, deletion of location references, 33% reduction in combat scenes, and removal of photographs of the 20 martyrs from the end credits. [9] The film was released on YouTube on January 11, 2025. [10]
