Richard Cook Mears IV, [1] better known as Nitti Gritti [2] is a Los Angeles based record producer, DJ and vocalist. [3] [4] [5] His collaboration with Party Favor as Sidepiece, a music duo group, [6] was nominated for a Grammy in 2021 under Best Dance Recording segment for their 2019 single "On My Mind" featuring Diplo. [7] [8] NITTI is known for collaborating and working with Enrique Iglesias, [9] Pitbull, [10] DJ Snake, [11] [12] Shaquille O'Neal, [13] Tiesto, Diplo, Ookay, [14] Jimmy Levy, [15] Shndō, [16] etc. In 2019, NITTI's single "200 MPH" with Diplo won a Latin Grammy, which was on Bad Bunny's album X 100PRE . Early life and career

Raised in Pennsylvania, Mears moved with his family to Haiti at the age of six where his parents served in Christian missionary work—his father as a soccer coach and his mother, a teacher. [10] After living In Haiti for eight years, he moved to Miami, Florida. [18] He started his professional music career under the name Nitti in the year 2016 as he released "It's Nit!". [19] [20] In 2018, he attended his first world tour and Ghastly's The Mystifying Oracle Tour. In the same year he produced Enrique's "Move To Miami" featuring Pitbull [9] and Bad Bunny's "200 MPH", with Diplo. [17] His 2018 release Crack was the 7th most played song at 2018 Ultra Music Festival. [21] Mears performed in Audiotistic Music Festival, [22] Electric Daisy Carnival, [23] [24] Life in Color, [25] Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, [26] Asteria Music Festival etc. His single "200 MPH", received a Latin Grammy in 2019. [11]

On 19 September 2019, Nitti announced collaboration with Party Favor to form the duo Sidepiece. [27] [28] Their debut release was "Wanna See You" published through Billboard. [6] [29] Their 2020 single "On My Mind" was nominated in the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording segment. [30] [31] [32] In 2020, he was ranked the 14th in the list of the Top 101 Producers in the world by 1001tracklists.com. [33] [34]

Diplo is the fourth studio album by American record producer Diplo. It was released through Higher Ground and Mad Decent on March 4, 2022. The album contains guest appearances from Miguel, Amtrac, Leon Bridges, Ry X, Elderbrook, Andhim, Paul Woolford, Kareen Lomax, Melé, Busta Rhymes, Lil Yachty, Sidepiece, Damian Lazarus, Jungle, TSHA, Aluna, Durante, WhoMadeWho, Seth Troxler, and Desire. While production was mainly handled by Diplo, some other guests on the album also produced the songs that they had collaborated with Diplo on, consisting of Amtrac, Andhim, Paul Woolford, Melé, Sidepiece, Damian Lazarus, Jungle, TSHA, Aluna, Darunte, and Seth Troxler. Other producers consist of Maximilian Jaeger, King Henry, Rampa, Ape Drums, Cesqeaux, Nitti Gritti as a solo producer as well, Alex Metric, Vito de Luca, Santell, Philip von Boch Scully, and Aryay. The album also serves as Diplo's first solo project in about 18 years.
