Nivedhithaa Sathish is a South Indian actor who works predominantly in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. Nivedhithaa is known for her role in the anthology film Sillu Karuppatti (2019) and the period film Captain Miller (2024). [1]

Career

Nivedhithaa made her acting debut in the Tamil film Magalir Mattum (2017). [2] She made a splash playing the younger version of Sharanya under the direction of Bramma G. [3]

In 2019, she played one of the leads in the episode Kakka Kadi in the anthology film Sillu Karupatti , [4] and in the following year 2020 she had a lead role in Sethum Aayiram Pon , as a young woman who visits her ailing grandmother. [5] Haricharan Pudipeddi of Hindustan Times quoted that "After Sillu Karuppatti, Nivedhithaa walks away with another splendid performance". [6]

In 2021, she got featured in Udanpirappe playing the daughter of Jyothika and Samuthirakani [7]

In 2022, she featured in web series Suzhal: The Vortex , an Amazon produced Tamil thriller series from directors Pushkar and Gayathri. The series was directed by Bramma and Anucharan. She played the role of Lakshmi that was important to the protagonist's emotional journey. [8] That same year She marked her Telugu debut as lead actress as Anya in the Telugu and Tamil horror web series Anya's Tutorial , produced by Arka Media and  directed by Pallavi Gangireddy.

In 2023, she acted alongside Dhanush stars as a pivotal character Thaenpasiyaar [9] in the action period film Captain Miller , produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and directed by Arun Matheswaran. [1] The film came out January 2024. [10]

Personal life

Sathish was born and raised in Chennai to a Telugu family. Her native town is Guntur. [11] She enrolled at a private college in Chennai for a degree in visual communication. [5] However, after receiving an offer to be part of Sillu Karupatti in her second year, followed by Sethum Aayiram Pon, she could not complete her degree. [5]
