Noah Jaffe (born July 18, 2003) is an American Paralympic swimmer who specializes in freestyle and butterfly events.

Career

Jaffe made his international debut for the United States at the 2022 Duel in the Pool in Sydney, Australia where he participated in para swimming events, along with Jamal Hill, McKenzie Coan, and Elizabeth Smith. [1] [2]

On April 29, 2023, Jaffe was named to the roster to represent the United States at the 2023 World Para Swimming Championships in Manchester, England. [3] On the first day of competition he won a bronze medal in the 400 m freestyle S8 event. On the third day he won a bronze medal in the 100 m butterfly S8 event. On the fourth day he won a gold medal in the 100 m freestyle S8 event and set an Americas record. On the fifth day he won a silver medal in the 50 m freestyle S8 event. [4] [5]

On June 30, 2024, Jaffe was named to Team USA's roster to compete at the 2024 Summer Paralympics. [6]

Robert Griswold is an American swimmer. He was a member of the 2016 and 2020 U.S. Paralympic Swimming Teams. He holds multiple American and world paralympic swimming records in freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and individual medleys. He competes in the Paralympic classes S8/SB7/SM8, and has cerebral palsy that affects coordination and strength. The United States Center for SafeSport temporarily suspended Griswold in 2020, reinstated him prior to the 2021 Paralympic Games, and then temporarily suspended him again in 2022, after he was accused of raping a fellow member of the US Paralympic Team at the 2021 Paralympic Games and thereafter; Griswold was later removed as a member of the US National Team.

McKenzie Coan is an American swimmer. At the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, she swam the 400m Freestyle in the S8 category. Coan was one of four S8 category swimmers chosen to compete for Team USA at the games. She later had her breakout games in the 2016 Summer Paralympics, where she would go on to win 3 gold medals in the category S7 50, 100, and 400M Freestyle races, with an additional silver medal in the 34-point women's 4 × 100 m Freestyle relay. In the process of getting her gold medal in the 50M Freestyle she also set a new Paralympic Record.

Colleen Young is an American swimmer. She is a three-time Paralympian earning a bronze medal at the 2016 Paralympic Games, as well as a bronze and a silver medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games. She has also earned multiple gold, silver and bronze medals at World Championships. She competes in the Paralympic class S13. In 2016 she set a Pan-American record in the 100m breaststroke.
