Noble Street Studios is a recording studio located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. [1] The studio's clients have included Billy Talent, [2] [3] Three Days Grace, Danko Jones, Kanye West, The Tragically Hip, Barenaked Ladies, [4] [ self-published source? ] The Arkells, Feist, ASAP Rocky, Jarvis Church, Tyga, The Trews, Gavin Brown, Lenny DeRose, Alan Parsons, George Seara, Tori Hathaway, [5] Michael Jack, Eric Ratz, Kenny Luong and The Weeknd.

History

The studio opened its doors in 2011. [6] It was designed by Athos Zaghi (AZA and Theatre Consultants Collaborative LLC,), and Robert Kastelic and acoustically engineered by Terry Medwedyk, of Group One Acoustics [7] It houses two recording spaces; Studio A and Studio B. Both rooms feature Solid State Logic consoles. Studio A houses their Fazioli F212 Grand Piano. [8] The studio includes a variety of professional recording, mixing and mastering equipment. [7]

In 2013, the Noble Street Studios won a Toronto Urban Design Award of Excellence. [9] [10]

In 2015, Noble Street Studios was nominated for a Country Music Association Award as Best Recording Studio, [11] and eight tracks recorded in the studio were nominated for Juno Awards. [12]

The Canadian Music Hall of Fame was established in 1978 by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) to honour Canadian musicians for their lifetime achievements in music. The award presentation is held each year as part of the Juno Award ceremonies. Since 2012, the inductee also performs at the ceremony.

Number 9 Audio Group is a recording studio located in the Cabbagetown area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada at 222 Gerrard Street East. Number 9 produced the World Jazz For Haiti charity album in 2010, appeared on Much Music's DISBAND in 2008, and recorded Canadian acts Barenaked Ladies and Amanda Marshall in the 1990s, while they were still emerging artists.

Fake Nudes is the twelfth studio album by Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies. It is the band's 12th full-length original-material studio album and their 16th overall. It was recorded from January to February 2017 at Noble Street Studios in Toronto, Ontario, and was released on 17 November 2017 through Vanguard.

The Juno Awards of 2018, honouring Canadian music achievements, were presented in Vancouver, British Columbia during the weekend of 24–25 March 2018. The primary telecast ceremonies were held at Rogers Arena. Vancouver previously hosted the Juno Awards in 1991, 1998 and 2009. Michael Bublé hosted these awards after having stepped down from his scheduled hosting the previous year due to his son's cancer diagnosis. Nominations were announced on 6 February 2018.

<i>Detour de Force</i> 2021 studio album by Barenaked Ladies
