Noreen Motamed is an Iranian-American artist and painter, residing in Maryland.
Daughter of linguist, Fereydoun Motamed. She was born in Abadan, Iran and attended primary and secondary school in Tehran and graduated in first place from Islamic Azad University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts. She continued her postgraduate studies in Arts and once again graduated in first place from Alzahra University with a Master of Arts degree with concentration in painting.
She began painting as a professional artist in 1983. Starting with a figurative art style she then turned to abstract work, often depicting abstracted Persian female rug weavers and kilim weavers or humans and nature. Persian miniatures have been great sources of inspiration in her latest paintings. [1] She has continued this style while in the United States with a western influence as it appears in some of her abstract figurative 2 collection. [2] She has taught as an associate professor [3] in Art at Shariaty Technical College in Tehran from 2008 until 2021. Noreen is currently active in producing paintings and artwork in the abstract-figurative realm. Her latest work themes are mostly inspired by nature with the use of both traditional and digital media.
Behjat Sadr, was an Iranian modern art painter whose works have been exhibited in New York, Paris, and Rome. In her paintings, Sadr is known for using a palette knife on canvases or metallic surfaces to create visual rhythm, movement and geometric shapes.

Farideh Lashai was an Iranian painter. She was born in Rasht, Iran. She was also a writer and translator. Her foremost book is Shal Bamu. She is renowned for her abstract contemporary paintings, which are a combination of traditional and contemporary views of nature.
Mansoor Ghandriz was an Iranian painter and printmaker. He used Iranian forms in modern art and was one of the pioneers of the Saqqakhaneh movement. Ghandriz is best known for his abstract paintings of mythical creatures.

Haleh Jamali is an Iranian artist currently living and working in Scotland. She works with a wide range of media and techniques that include painting, photography, installation, video, and performance. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in Painting at the College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, in 2005. In 2007, she received her MA in Art and Media Practice from the University of Westminster, London. Her works focus on the hidden layers beneath the visible by using the media of painting and installation.
Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian was an Iranian artist and a collector of traditional folk art. She is noted for having been one of the most prominent Iranian artists of the contemporary period, and she was the first artist to achieve an artistic practice that weds the geometric patterns and cut-glass mosaic techniques (Āina-kāri) of her Iranian heritage with the rhythms of modern Western geometric abstraction. In 2017, the Monir Museum in Tehran, Iran was opened in her honor.

Hiwa Pashaei or Hiva Pashaei is a Kurdish painter, photographer, calligrapher, graphist, curator and publisher from Iran, living in the United States. He is active in the fields of painting, graphic design, research and education of visual arts. Pashaei is known for his spearhead role in pixel art in Iran and Kurdistan. Pashaei is also renowned because of his innovative use of Kurdish culture themes, specially culture of Kermanshah region Kurds, creating figurative works with the subject of Kurdish women, and presenting these themes in the form of modern and post modern art. He is manager of Rouge Art Gallery and Founder of Jowan Visual Art School in Tehran, and also CEO & Founder of Art & Culture Center of California "ACCC" in Los Angeles. Pashaei has held several individual and group exhibitions in Iran and other countries like Iraq, Japan, Italy, France and United States.
Raheleh "Minoosh" Zomorodinia is an Iranian-born American interdisciplinary visual artist, curator, and educator. She works in many mediums, including in photography, video, installation, and performance. Her work is informed by the tension between Iran and the United States, as well as explorations of the self, of home, nature, and the environment. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Arghavan Khosravi is an Iranian-born American visual artist, and illustrator. She is known for her three dimensional paintings with works that cross between the traditions of European Renaissance and Persian miniature; with themes of freedom, exile, and empowerment. Khosravi lives in Stamford, Connecticut, and previously lived in Natick, Massachusetts.
