A cursory glance at the history of art reveals that social, political and economic conditions have always played a major role in the emergence of new artistic currents and styles. As an example Flight by Morteza Katouzian is showing the marginalized people who have no freedom as result of political changes. In Iran, the social and political developments of the 1940s radically altered the evolution of this country's plastic arts and entirely altering its natural path.

Homa Football Club is an Iranian football club based in Tehran. They currently play in the Tehran Provincial Leagues.

Caltex Records is an American record label and division of Caltex Music based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1980 by Iranian American immigrant Mehrdad Pakravan. The label focuses on Iranian music. In 1994, the label represented 75% of Persian musical artists in the world in part due to the exodus of musicians from Iran after the government banned popular music.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Shiraz Arts Festival</span>

The Shiraz Festival of Arts was an annual international summer arts festival, held in Iran bringing about the encounter between the East and the West. It was held from 1967 to 1977 in the city of Shiraz and Persepolis in central Iran by the initiative of Shahbanu Farah Pahlavi.

Reza Dormishian is an Iranian film director, screenwriter and film producer. He has worked as assistant director with notable directors such as Dariush Mehrjui, Fereydoun Jeyrani, and Alireza Davood Nejad.
