Belgaum is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka located in its northern part along the Western Ghats. It is the administrative headquarters of the eponymous Belgaum division and Belgaum district. The Government of Karnataka has proposed making Belgaum the second capital of Karnataka, hence a second state administrative building Suvarna Vidhana Soudha was inaugurated on 11 October 2012.
Kadamba Transport Corporation abbreviated as KTC is a Government of Goa road transport undertaking. It was set up in 1980 by then Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane. Goa has long been dependent on privatised bus-transport, and the blue-and-red-and-white Kadamba buses are an exception to this rule. While the KTC has provided transport and connectivity to Goa's main towns and rural hinterland, it has also, in recent years, faced charges of mismanagement, politicisation and corruption in some of its deals.

The Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) is a civic transport and electricity provider public body based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It was originally set up in 1873 as a tramway company called "Bombay Tramway Company Limited". The company set up a captive thermal power station at the Wadi bunder in November 1905 to generate electricity for its trams and positioned it to also supply electricity to the city and re-branded itself to "Bombay Electric Supply & Tramways (BEST)" Company. In 1926, BEST also became an operator of motor buses. In 1947, the BEST became an undertaking of the Municipal Corporation and rebranded itself to "Bombay Electric Supply & Transport (BEST)". In 1995 the organisation was renamed to "Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport (BEST)" alongside Mumbai. It now operates as an autonomous body under the Municipal Corporation.
Calcutta State Transport Corporation (CSTC) was a West Bengal state government undertaken transport corporation. Headquartered in Kolkata, it was set up on 31 July 1948. Currently it operates under the name WBTC. It plied buses in Kolkata and nearby districts of West Bengal, along with some long-distance services. CSTC owned 11 depots in Kolkata and the districts to station its fleet of busses.
Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation is the state-owned road transport corporation in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Its headquarters is located at NTR Administrative Block of RTC House in Pandit Nehru bus station of Vijayawada. Many other Indian metro towns in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Yanam, Kerala Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh are also linked with the APSRTC services.
Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) is a public transport company which provides bus services in the Indian state Rajasthan. It is headquartered in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The corporation was established by Government of Rajasthan on 1 October 1964 under the Road Transport Act 1950. RSRTC operates ordinary, express and deluxe services. It has 4500 buses in its fleet, 52 depots across Rajasthan and 3 depots outside the state i.e. Indore, Ahmedabad and Delhi. Out of total fleet 4154 buses are on road. As of the 2018-19 reports there are around 2230 routes covered which amount to 5437.74 lakh km per year. It carries around 9 lakh passengers per day to their destinations within and outside the state. RSRTC operates services in Rajasthan and adjoining states of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir and Chandigarh. Ticket reservation is available at all bus stations free of charge. Online ticket facility is available for Air conditioned, Deluxe, Semi-deluxe and express buses through Kiosks in Rajasthan as well as through RSRTC MOBILE APP.

Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is a state-owned road transport corporation in the Indian state of Kerala. It is one of the country's oldest state-run public bus transport services. The corporation is divided into three zones, and its headquarters is in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. Daily scheduled service has increased from 1,200,000 kilometres (750,000 mi) to 1,422,546 kilometres (883,929 mi), using 6,241 buses on 6,389 routes. The corporation transports an average of 3.145 million commuters per day.
The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is a public sector passenger road transport corporation which services Uttar Pradesh, India, and adjoining states. UPSRTC operates as a state and interstate bus service and has the largest fleet of buses in North India. The corporate office of the corporation are located in Lucknow.
PEPSU Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), is a bus operator in Punjab state of India, is a state-run corporation headquartered at Patiala. Originally, it was formed as the Road Transport Corporation of the erstwhile state of PEPSU but when it was merged into Punjab, it became the Road Transport Corporation of whole of Punjab. Later in 1966, when Haryana and Himachal were carved out of Punjab, they formed their own Road Transport Companies. It has a fleet of 1142 buses. The PRTC, Patiala was set-up on 16th of October, 1956 under the provision of the Road Transport Corporations Act, 1950 with a view to provide efficient, adequate, economic and properly co-ordinated operation system of Road Transport Services in the State. It commenced passenger transport operations with a meagre investment of ₹ 25.00 lacs and the fleet of 60 buses covering 11,107 daily scheduled kilometers on 15 routes with 345 employees. At present, the PRTC had owned 1142 ordinary buses, 600 routes covering a daily mileage of 349928 kilometers. It has 3,993 employees of which 1022 are regular. PRTC has 9 depot and 15 bus stands across the Punjab located at Patiala, Bathinda, Kapurthala, Barnala, Sangrur, Budhlada, Faridkot, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Special Cell of KM Scheme at Patiala. Sardar Manmohan Singh Sathiala held the post of Chairman of PRTC form 2000-2002 and introduced Kilometre scheme, initiated GPS system on its buses and built bus stand at historic city of Talwandi Sabo.
Central bus station, also called Thampanoor bus station, is a bus station in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. It is located opposite the Trivandrum Central railway station at Thampanoor. It is the largest and busiest bus terminal in Kerala with 7.41 acres serving the buses traveling on all routes in Kerala and other inter-state destinations such as Chennai, Bangalore, Mysore, Nagercoil, and Kanyakumari. It is also the headquarters of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). A High-tech terminal complex was constructed by Harrisons Malayalam Limited Engineering Department, a Kerala-based construction contracting company.

HRTC provides bus services to towns and cities within Himachal Pradesh and the adjoining and nearby states of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan. HRTC is one of the first RTC's in India to offer a facility for online booking of tickets for all types of buses.
