Northern Neck Regional Jail is a jail in Warsaw, Virginia, which is located in Virginia's Northern Neck. The jail was completed in 1995. It employs 100 people and has a capacity of 460 inmates with its most recent addition completed in 2000. [1]
Notable inmates of the jail have included Chris Brown in 2014, [2] Paul Manafort in 2018, Daniel Hale in 2021 [3] , and Michael Vick.

The West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation is an agency of the U.S. state of West Virginia within the Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety that operates the state's prisons, jails and juvenile detention facilities. The agency has its headquarters in the state's capital of Charleston. Until July 1, 2018, the agency was simply the "West Virginia Division of Corrections" and only operated the adult prisons. On July 1, 2018 the agency absorbed the former West Virginia Division of Juvenile Services and the former West Virginia Regional Jail Authority and assumed its current name.

Frank W. Cox High School is a secondary school located in the Great Neck subdivision of Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was founded in 1961 as the Northeast Junior High School, but upon opening, it was named after a former superintendent of Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Frank Woodard Cox, who led the school division from 1933 to 1968. A replacement building, also designated as a primary hurricane shelter, was built nearby, at 2425 Shorehaven Drive. The high school was moved into the new building in the fall of 1983. The original building at 1848 N. Great Neck Road became Great Neck Junior High and then Great Neck Middle School. The original building was demolished in 2012.
The Lancaster VA Historical Society/Mary Ball Washington Museum and Library is a museum and historical archive in the Northern Neck of The Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, United States. Its purpose is to preserve the history of Lancaster County, Virginia. It opened in 1958 and was named in honor of George Washington's mother, Mary Ball, a Lancaster County, Virginia native and granddaughter of the ca 1653 emigrant, William Ball I.

The area is located on a peninsula of land between the Potomac and Rappahannock rivers in the Tidewater region of Virginia and known as the Northern Neck. This provides a climate which features more frost free days than the rest of Virginia. The tip of the Northern Neck is located at the Chesapeake Bay. The hardiness zone is 7b.
