The Metro Bowl has traditionally been the championship game for Secondary School football teams in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, from 1982 until 2012. The game was revived by the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations beginning in 2015 as one of a series of nine regionally themed bowl games held as part of an annual Ontario football bowl game festival since 2015. Rather than a strictly Toronto-area championship, the Metro Bowl is now held between one of either the Toronto District College Athletic Association (TDCAA) representing Catholic schools or the Toronto District Secondary School Athletic Association (TDSSAA) representing public schools, alternating each year, against another Ontario association's champion determined by draw. The Toronto association not playing in the Metro Bowl in a particular year will instead play in one of the other bowl games.
The OFSAA Cross Country Championships are the Ontario high school cross country championships, held annually in varying locations around Ontario, usually on the first Saturday of November. Approximately 1600 runners compete in six races, making it the largest OFSAA meet of any sport.
Abbey Park High School, commonly referred to as APHS, is a secondary school located in the town of Oakville, Ontario in the Greater Toronto Area. Abbey Park High School was opened at its present location in the wake of the closure of Queen Elizabeth Park High School, which was previously operating at its Bridge Road location, in Bronte. Abbey Park has more resources available to its students than other schools in the region because it inherited Queen Elizabeth Park's resources when it was closed. This allowed for the initial opening budget to be spent on new equipment. Students have open access to a weight room, home economics kitchen, library, and track. Abbey Park High School is also situated beside the Glen Abbey Community Centre, which houses the Glen Abbey branch of the Oakville Public Library.

A. N. Myer Secondary School is a public high school located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. It is located on O'Neil Street and is part of the District School Board of Niagara. As of the 2019–2020 school year, 1213 students were enrolled. A. N. Myer was one of the first schools in the Niagara Region to receive an astroturf field. It is the only high school in the city of Niagara Falls to offer the French immersion program.
Arjen Colquhoun is a former professional Canadian football defensive back who played in four seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted by the Edmonton Eskimos, with their second pick, 17th overall, in the second round of the 2016 CFL Draft. He signed with the National Football League's Dallas Cowboys on May 1, 2016, after going undrafted in 2016 NFL Draft, but was part of the team's training camp cuts in August following an injury. He also played for the Toronto Argonauts for one year. He played college football for the Michigan State Spartans from 2011 to 2015.
