Northwind Calling is a folk album by Alaskan singer-songwriter Mossy Kilcher. Initially released as a private press album in 1977, [2] the album was not a commercial success but gained a cult following. [1] [3] It gained renewed attention [4] [5] when it was reissued in 2020 by Tompkins Square Records. [6] [7]

The album was written in the form of a novel with each track representing a chapter. Although the first official single was "Again and Again", the title track "Goodbye Alice in Wonderland" debuted a month earlier on her website as an Internet exclusive. The second single, "Good Day" was released to radio in late June 2006. The next single was "Stephenville, TX". A video for it can be seen on Yahoo! Launch.

He has also collaborated with musicians Steven Gunn, Conor O'Brien and Aoife Nessa Frances. He has released albums on the labels Woodsist, Matador, and VHF. His music has been described by Kitty Empire in The Observer as "pushing at the seam where psychedelia, country and the Takoma school of folk ragas meet."
