Noson Lawen is a 1949 Welsh language Welsh film directed by Marc Lloyd and starring Meredydd Evans, Ieuan Rhys Williams, Nellie Hodgkins and Robert Roberts. [1] It is based on a story by Sam Jones.
Ifan, a farmer's son living in the Welsh hills, dreams of an academic career. His father, his mother and his wife, Gwen, use nearly all of their money to pay for him to go to a university and are terrified that he may fail his exam, and it will all have been for nothing. As Ifan's father counts the money left for the umpteenth time, the postmistress appears with startling news: Ifan has passed with flying colours.
After the ceremony, Ifan introduces his friends, Emlyn and Hywel to his mother, father and lively grandfather. The boys eventually come to work on the farm.
A party follows, and Ifan, Emlyn and Hywel sing a composition by Meredydd Evans himself (Moo Moo, Me Me, Cwac Cwac) and call themselves Triawd y Buarth. Then the Grandfather gets up on the stage and begins dancing around like a lunatic singing with an incredible voice.
Ryan Davies was a Welsh comedian, actor, musician, singer, and songwriter. Though his career lasted just 11 years, he became widely known in Wales through his work with Ronnie Williams as the comedic double act Ryan and Ronnie.

Maredudd ab Ieuan ab Robert, also spelt Maredudd ap Ieuan and Maredudd ab Ifan, was a Welsh landed gentleman and succeeded his father Ieuan ap Robert ap Maredudd (1437–1468). He had two full brothers, Robert and John, and three half-siblings born of his father Ieuan ap Robert's second marriage to Gwenhwyfar ferch Madog Vaughan of Llwyn Dyrus, they being Gruffudd Vaughan, Ieuan and an unnamed sister. He purchased and rebuilt Gwydyr Castle after it was destroyed in the 1460s and made it the family home. He was an ancestor of Sir John Wynn, 1st Baronet.

Hidden is a Welsh television drama serial, created by Mark Andrew and Ed Talfan. It was initially broadcast in Welsh on the Welsh-language channel S4C under its Welsh name Craith. The bilingual version of the series, under the English name Hidden, was broadcast on BBC One Wales and BBC Four. The Welsh-language versions of the first two series aired on S4C in 2018 and 2019, respectively, with the third and final series beginning on 10 October 2021. Triawd y Coleg were a Welsh close harmony group formed at University College of North Wales, Bangor in 1945 and comprising Meredydd Evans, Cledwyn Jones and Robin Williams. The trio achieved national fame as regulars on the Welsh language light entertainment radio programme Noson Lawen in the 1940s, and have been described as "perhaps the first Welsh-language pop group".

The Oxford Book of Welsh Verse (1962), edited by Thomas Parry, is an anthology of Welsh-language poetry stretching from Aneirin in the 6th century to Bobi Jones in the 20th. No translations of the poems are provided, but the introduction and notes are in English. It was the first anthology to give the reader a thorough idea of Welsh poetry in its entirety through 1400 years, containing as it does 370 poems, of which 59 cannot be securely attributed while the rest are the work of 146 named poets. It went through eight editions in its first 21 years, and was supplemented in 1977 by the publication of Gwyn Jones's Oxford Book of Welsh Verse in English.
