Not the Green Tom Show, is the first release by Canadian rapper MC Face, released in 1998. The theme of the 26-track album revolves around MC Face, a pugnacious and foul-mouthed rapper who is constantly angry with and taking verbal jabs at Tom Green, his square producer who brings on some of his buddies from The Tom Green Show.

Canadians citizens of Canada

Canadians are people identified with the country of Canada. This connection may be residential, legal, historical or cultural. For most Canadians, several of these connections exist and are collectively the source of their being Canadian.

Tom Green Canadian actor and comedian

Michael Thomas Green is a Canadian-American comedian, actor, filmmaker, and talk show host. Known for his brand of shock comedy, he found mainstream prominence via his MTV television show The Tom Green Show. Green is also known for his roles in the Hollywood films Road Trip (2000), Charlie's Angels (2000), Freddy Got Fingered (2001), Stealing Harvard (2002) and Shred (2008). He was briefly married to actress Drew Barrymore.

The Tom Green Show television series

The Tom Green Show is a North American television show, created by and starring Canadian comedian Tom Green, that first aired in September 1994. The series aired on Rogers Television 22, a community channel in Ottawa, Ontario, until 1996, when it was picked up by The Comedy Network. The second season began airing on December 4, 1998.

Lyrics by MC Face are interlaced with skits in which Face disses Green and a conflict culminates right up until the last track, a skit where Face goes completely crazy. In this mad blaze of rage Face slowly dissolves into Green and everything is out the window with Green ultimately regretting ever doing the album.

Even though this track reveals rather obviously that Green and Face are in fact the same, Tom Green swears that he and MC Face are not the same person (similar to the way Andy Kaufman would act when questioned about Tony Clifton). In reality, MC Face is Tom's alter-ego. MC Face constantly hates on Tom Green and some of his friends, including Glenn Humplik and Derek Harvie (Face actually builds a friendly relationship with Phil Giroux). [3] [4]

Andy Kaufman American stand-up comedian and actor

Andrew Geoffrey Kaufman was an American entertainer, actor, writer, and performance artist. While often called a comedian, Kaufman described himself instead as a "song and dance man". He disdained telling jokes and engaging in comedy as it was traditionally understood, once saying in a rare introspective interview, "I am not a comic, I have never told a joke. ... The comedian's promise is that he will go out there and make you laugh with him... My only promise is that I will try to entertain you as best I can."

Tony Clifton is a character created by performance artist Andy Kaufman, who also portrayed him in the late 1970s. Characteristic of the many elaborate hoaxes and practical jokes Kaufman concocted, Clifton was not exclusively portrayed by Kaufman. Others, mainly longtime Kaufman friend Bob Zmuda, also performed the role.

Derek Harvie Canadian television producer

Derek Kevin Harvie is a Canadian TV and Film writer and producer. Harvie grew up in Ottawa and graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in film and literature.
