Novendra Priasmoro is an Indonesian chess grandmaster. He is one of Indonesia's top grandmasters and won the 2017 Indonesian Chess Championship.

Chess career

In June 2017, he won the Eastern Asia Junior Championship. With this, he earned the IM title and a GM norm. [2]

In April 2018, he won the Bangkok Chess Club Open despite being a relatively unknown 2400-rated player and the field having strong grandmasters, including Nigel Short, Hrant Melkumyan, and Jan Gustafsson. [3]

In March 2020, he fulfilled all of the Grandmaster requirements after defeating Akash G. at the Liberec Open, a tournament that he also won. This made him Indonesia's eighth grandmaster. [4]

In October 2022, he won the Dato Arthur Tan Malaysian Open Chess Championship with a score of 7.5/9, ahead of runner-up J. Deepan Chakkravarthy. [5]

In July 2023, he won the 8th Johor International Open Masters with an undefeated score of 7/9. He finished a full point ahead of runners-up Diptayan Ghosh and Jagadeesh Siddharth. [6]

Pallathur Venkatachalam Nandhidhaa is an Indian chess player from the state of Tamilnadu, who holds the FIDE titles of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) and Woman International Master (WIM). She is the 17th Woman Grandmaster of India. Her peak FIDE ELO rating is 2380 and she is holding 8 International Master norms as on April 2024. She was part of the 30 member Indian Chess Olympiad team which participated in 44th Chess Olympiad in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, India from 28 July to 9 August 2022. Nandhidhaa had won an individual Gold in Asian Chess Championship held at New Delhi on 3 November 2022, making her only the 9th Indian Women to clinch the Asian Gold. She scored an unbeaten and impressive 7.5/9 to clinch the title, thereby also qualifying for the Women's Chess World Cup 2023. She has won 7 medals each in Commonwealth Chess Championship and Asian level Chess Championship tournaments in different age categories. Daniel Quizon is a Filipino chess player and the current Philippine Chess Champion. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster (GM) by FIDE in 2024.
