Nsunera (Nyansiongo), is a town a few kilometres from the town of Kisii in Nyamira County, Kenya.

Kisii is a city in south-western Kenya. It is the main urban and commercial center in the Gusii Highlands and the South Nyanza region. A vibrant town, the Kisii municipality has a population of about 400,000, according to 2012 estimates. It has a large dependent metropolitan population of over 100,000 residents, as per the latest national population and housing census of 2009. Kisii town is the capital of the Kisii County. It was the headquarters of the original and larger Kisii District before it was split to create Nyamira District and Gucha District. With the new Kenya Constitution in August 27, 2010, Gucha District was re-absorbed back into Kisii County, whereas Nyamira District has been renamed Nyamira County.

St. Andrew's Kaggwa Boys Boarding Primary School is a primary school. It is a Catholic school established in 1989. The institution is named after Andrew Kaggwa, one of the Uganda Martyrs, who were killed by Kabaka Mwanga II of the Buganda Kingdom.

Andrew Kaggwa Ugandan saint

Andrew Kaggwa was a Ugandan Roman Catholic martyred for his faith. He was one of many Christians put to death by King Mwanga II between 1885 and 1887. He was the king Mwanga's bandmaster-General, the Mugowa. He was baptized on 30 April 1882 by Père Simon Lourdel M.Afr. at Nabulagala. The day he met his death, he was arrested at his home and taken to the Chancellor who ordered the executioners to cut off his arm. Kaggwa's arm was first cut off and taken to Mukasa before he was beheaded and hacked to pieces at Munyonyo. He died in the afternoon of Wednesday 26 May 1886. Kaggwa is the patron of Catechists, Teachers and Families. He is remembered as one of the Martyrs of Uganda's feast day.

It is in an academic location where it neighbours Nyansiongo High School, Nyansiongo D.O.K Primary School, and its sister school- St. Andrew's Kaggwa Girls Boarding Primary School.

It has a student population of about 1,000 students. It is composed of Grade Four (Standard Four) to Eight. Each grade has four streams, containing about fifty students.

Education in Bhutan

Western-style education was introduced to Bhutan during the reign of Ugyen Wangchuck (1907–26). Until the 1950s, the only formal education available to Bhutanese students, except for private schools in Ha and Bumthang, was through Buddhist monasteries. In the 1950s, several private secular schools were established without government support, and several others were established in major district towns with government backing. By the late 1950s, there were twenty-nine government and thirty private primary schools, but only about 2,500 children were enrolled. Secondary education was available only in India. Eventually, the private schools were taken under government supervision to raise the quality of education provided.
