Nhial Deng Nhial Minister of Defense in the Cabinet of South Sudan

Lieutenant General Nhial Deng Nhial is a South Sudanese politician and a member of the ruling Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM). He was Minister of Foreign Affairs 2011 to 2013 and 2018 to 2019 after having served as the caretaker Minister of Defense since 10 July 2011. Prior to that he served as the pre-independence South Sudanese Minister of SPLA and Veteran Affairs, from 22 December 2008 until 9 July 2011.

Cabinet of Sudan

The Cabinet of Sudan usually refers to the chief executive body of the Republic of the Sudan. The Cabinet was dissolved following the 11 April 2019 Sudanese coup d'état. Chapter 5 of the August 2019 Draft Constitutional Declaration defines the procedures which led to the nomination of Abdalla Hamdok as Prime Minister, and up to 20 Ministers in the Cabinet, during late August 2019, for the 39-month democratic transition. The August 2019 Cabinet is expected to contain very few women. The Sudanese Women's Union protested against this. Under Article 19 of the Draft Constitutional Declaration, the ministers of the Transitional Cabinet are ineligible to run in the election scheduled to follow the transition period.

The Cabinet of South Sudan is the Executive Branch of the Government of South Sudan. The Cabinet members are appointed by the President and report to the President.

Deng Alor Kuol Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Cabinet of South Sudan

Deng Alor Kuol is a South Sudanese politician. He is a member of the Ngok Dinka ethnic group, and was born in Abyei region, an oil-producing border region between Northern and Southern Sudan. More than 99% of Abyei's Ngok Dinka have voted to be united with their fellow Dinka in neighboring South Sudan.

Kosti Manubi is a South Sudanese politician. He is the current Minister for Cabinet Affairs in the Cabinet of South Sudan. He was appointed to that position on 10 July 2011.

John Luk Jok was a South Sudanese politician and minister in the Cabinet of South Sudan. He served as Minister of Justice from 10 July 2011 until 12 March 2020, when he was appointed Minister of East African Affairs as part of the Revitalised Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU). Jok died in his home at Juba on 2 June 2020, aged 68.

Salva Kiir on 28 April 2016.

Oyay Deng Ajak is a South Sudanese politician. He was formerly the Chief of Staff of the National Army, the Minister for Investment in the Cabinet of South Sudan as well as Minister of National Security. He was appointed to that position on 10 July 2011. In 2014, he was charged with attempting a coup against the Government of South Sudan, but was the charges were suspended having been totally false and trumped up. He is currently occupied in advocating for peace and responsible governance in South Sudan.

Abdalla Hamdok Prime Minister of Sudan (2019-present)

Abdalla Hamdok is a public administrator who became the 15th Prime Minister of Sudan. Prior to his appointment, Hamdok served in numerous national and international administrative positions. From November 2011 to October 2018, he was Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). UNECA staff described Hamdok as "A diplomat, a humble man and a brilliant and disciplined mind". In August 2019, Hamdok was floated around as a likely candidate for Prime Minister of Sudan for the 2019 Sudanese transition to democracy.
