Nyanturago is a town in Kisii County, Kenya. It is part if Gusii County council and Masaba division.

It is the birthplace of famous runner Jackline Maranga.

Gucha District was a former district in Nyanza Province, western Kenya. It was also known by the name: South Kisii District or Ogembo District. In 1999, its population was approximately 461,000. Its district headquarters were at Ogembo which houses more than a thousand residents,, with more than one thousand people more that visit it each day.

Ogembo is a small farming town in Kisii County, Kenya. Her inhabitants are the abagusii community. The town started around 1860 by the locals and around 1920s it became a commercial center for the Indians and a government centre for the colonial rule in the area. The surrounding area is well known for banana farming and tea farming. Ogembo is located 380 km west of Nairobi and has a population of 20,000.

Jackline Maranga is a retired Kenyan middle-distance runner. She won a silver medal at the World Junior Championships at the age of 15, and also won silver medals in the two following Championships, being the only athlete to do so.

Simeon Nyachae Stadium Kisii is a multi-use stadium in Kisii, Kenya. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Shabana Kisii. The stadium holds over 5,000 people. It was renamed by President Uhuru Kenyatta during the burial of Simeon Nyachae.
