Nyrika C. Holkar is an Indian business executive and lawyer, currently serving as the Executive Director of Godrej & Boyce, [1] a flagship company of the Godrej Enterprises Group. [2] A fourth-generation member of the Godrej family, [3] she is the daughter of Smita Godrej and niece of Jamshyd Godrej. [4] [5] [6] [7]
Born into the Godrej family, [8] Holkar pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Economics from Colorado College in the United States. She later earned an LL.B and an LL.M from University College London in the United Kingdom. [9] She is also a qualified solicitor in the U.K. and a member of the Bar Association of India. [10]
Holkar began her career at the London office of White & Case, a U.S.-based law firm, where she specialized in mergers and acquisitions. She later worked at AZB & Partners in Mumbai, advising offshore companies on investments in India. [10] [9]
In 2017, she joined Godrej & Boyce (G&B) and was appointed Executive Director, [11] overseeing digital strategy, brand management, legal affairs, and mergers and acquisitions. [12] [3] She also leads the company’s legal and corporate advisory functions. [7] Holkar holds board positions at Godrej & Boyce and Godrej Infotech, where she drives IT security and digital transformation initiatives. Holkar chairs G&B’s CSR Committee and Sustainability Council, spearheading initiatives in education, vocational training, and environmental conservation, including wetland protection projects. She oversees the Godrej Design Lab, which promotes sustainable design through its Conscious Collective program. She serves on the boards of the Naoroji Godrej Centre for Plant Research, the Centre for the Advancement of Philanthropy, and the United World Colleges Committee India. She is also an advisory member of the Sustainable Futures Collaborative and a fellow at the Ananta Aspen Centre. [10]
