Clark College is a public community college in Vancouver, Washington. With 11,500 students, Clark College is the largest institution of higher education in southwest Washington. Founded in 1933 as a private two-year junior college, Clark College received its first accreditation in 1937 and has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities since 1948. It was incorporated into the statewide community college system in 1967.

Gee Creek is a 4th order tributary to the Columbia River, a.k.a. small creek, within Clark County, Washington named for William Gee, an early pioneer upon whose land the stream arose from. The Upper Gee Creek watershed, with an 8.7-square-mile (23 km2) drainage basin, is completely located within the Ridgefield quadrangle. The mainstem extends approximately 11.5 miles (18.5 km), of which 4.9 miles (7.9 km) are located within the Upper Gee Creek basin. Originating in the hills along Interstate 5, through Ridgefield, Washington and empties into a series of lakes on the Columbia River Floodplain. Abrams Park in Ridgefield is a local access point for Gee Creek and since 2003, has had a stream flow gauge installed to collect hydrological data. The lowest segment of Gee Creek meanders for 3 miles (4.8 km) through the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.
Camp Bonneville is a former United States Army post located near Vancouver, Washington. It was established in 1909 and used by the U.S. Army as a rifle range and weapons training facility for troops stationed at Fort Vancouver. Camp Bonneville recommended for closure under the 1995 Base Realignment and Closure Commission and turned over to the Clark County government for re-use as a public park. Cleanup of the 4,000-acre (1,600 ha) site began in the late 2000s, but was halted due to the discovery of explosive remains.

The Pamplin Sports Center is a 2,300-seat basketball and volleyball arena in Portland, Oregon which serves as the home of the Lewis & Clark Pioneers. Before the Pamplin Sports Center, the college had a 1,600-seat arena that featured a plywood court which was built in 1947, but it burned down in 1966. For the next three seasons the school's team had no home court and was forced to practice and play at several high school gymnasiums around the Portland metropolitan area. The Pamplin Sports Center was completed in 1962, and in 2007 it was renovated and two practice courts were added that could be hidden under the bleachers during games. The stadium features two Daktronics-brand scoreboards on each base line. At the time of its construction, the Pamplin Sports Center cost US$2.2 million. It was constructed by Juhr and Sons from Portland. The stadium as named after Robert B. Pamplin, whose son sat on the board of trustees for the college at the time.

Clark PUD provides electric service to all of Clark County except for the Georgia-Pacific Camas Paper Mill in the City of Camas, and its water service area covers the majority of the county, except the Cities of Battle Ground, Camas, Ridgefield, Washougal, and Vancouver, which have their own municipal water systems.
