Tour de Singkarak is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in West Sumatra, Indonesia, and named after the Lake Singkarak. First staged in 2009, Tour de Singkarak is classified by the Union Cycling International (UCI) as a 2.2 category race as part of the UCI Asia Tour. It covers more than 1267 kilometres — from/to Padang passing around lake Singkarak and runs through inland West Sumatran cities — and lasted for a week and held annually. This exciting tour across the picturesque West Sumatra countryside's scenic landscapes, comprising beaches, blue lakes, and numerous hairpin bends, as they climb up to the foot of the volcanoes. The 2012 Tour de Langkawi was the 17th edition of the Tour de Langkawi, a cycling stage race that took place in Malaysia. It began on 24 February in Putrajaya and ended on 4 March in Kuala Terengganu which carried the slogan "Ready for the World". The race was sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as a 2.HC race on the 2011–12 UCI Asia Tour calendar.

Dean Windsor is an Australian professional racing cyclist who is known internationally as a criterium rider. Riding on the Track as a junior Dean Windsor won the Under19 Oceania Points Race Championship at Wanganui, NZ in 2004. Then focused on Road Racing winning the National U23 Criterium Championship, in 2007 at Brisbane. Then in 2010 was runner-up in the Australian Elite Criterium Championship at Ballarat. In 2011 he was runner-up in the British Elite Circuit Series behind then Rapha Condor-Sharp Team mate Dean Downing which included a win in the Stafford GP.
