O Doutrinador (English: The Awakener) is a Brazilian comic book series created by Luciano Cunha. The main character, "Doutrinador" is a vigilante who aims to kill corrupt politicians who are harming Brazilian society.
The comics were first conceived by Luciano Cunha in 2008, but only in 2013 the project begun to be developed and publicized on social networks. The first independent publication sold out in 2014 and soon after, Luciano teamed up with musician and activist Marcelo Yuka to write a new story called Dark Web. [1]
The English translation was published by Arkhaven Comics and is available as a free webcomic. [2]
O Doutrinador is a vigilante named Miguel, a highly trained federal agent who lives in a Brazil whose government has been hijacked by a gang of politicians and businessmen. A personal tragedy leads him to select endemic corruption as his greatest enemy. He begins to take revenge upon the political elite in the run up to Brazilian presidential elections, in a no-holds-barred crusade against corruption. [3]

Confessions of a Brazilian Call Girl grossed $12,356,515 in Brazil, first national film after international films in the Brazil 2011 Box Office, thanks to Bruna's popularity with the Brazilian public.

Operation Car Wash was a landmark anti-corruption probe in Brazil. Beginning in March 2014 as the investigation of a small car wash in Brasília over money laundering, the proceedings uncovered a massive corruption scheme in the Brazilian federal government, particularly in state-owned enterprises. The probe was conducted through a joint task force of agents in the federal police, revenue collection agency, internal audit office and antitrust regulator. Evidence was collected and presented to the court system by a team of federal prosecutors led by Deltan Dallagnol, while the judge in charge of the operation was Sergio Moro. Eventually, other federal prosecutors and judges would go on to oversee related cases under their jurisdictions in various Brazilian states. The operation implicated leading businessmen, federal congressmen, senators, state governors, federal government ministers, and former presidents Collor, Temer and Lula. Companies and individuals accused of involvement have agreed to pay 25 billion reais in fines and restitution of embezzled public funds.
