O Tempo is a Brazilian newspaper based in Contagem, in the Greater Belo Horizonte, state of Minas Gerais. The newspaper was created in 1996 by the Italian businessman and politician who became a naturalized Brazilian Vittorio Medioli and is owned by Grupo SADA, through its publisher, Sempre Editora, which also controls the tabloid Super Notícia and a radio station, Rádio Super. The 2021 Minas Gerais prostitute strike was a labor strike involving several thousand prostitutes in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The strike was organized by the Associação das Prostitutas de Minas Gerais and ran for about a week in early April. Occurring during the COVID-19 pandemic, the goal of the strike was to pressure the Ministry of Health into categorizing sex workers among other priority groups for immunization against COVID-19. Several protests occurred in the state's capital city of Belo Horizonte. Despite the strike, the Ministry of Health did not add sex workers as a priority group for vaccines.

Each state, the Federal District and various Insular Regions competed for the title. Kamilla Salgado of Pará crowned Juceila Bueno of Rio Grande do Sul at the end of the contest. Bueno represented Brazil at Miss World 2011. The contest was held at the Hotel do Frade in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Miss Brazil 2022, officially Miss Universe Brazil 2022, is the 68th edition of the Miss Brazil pageant held on July 19, 2022 and also the second under the new Miss Universe Brazil management. Teresa Santos of Ceará crowned Mia Mamede of Espírito Santo as her successor at the end of the event. This is the first time that Espírito Santo got the title. Mamede will represent Brazil at the upcoming Miss Universe 2022 pageant.
