Octavia is a Bolivian pop rock band characterized by a unique mix of Andean music, catchy pop sounds, use of electronic synthesizers, and acoustic music. The band's sound is continually evolving but it is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential bands in the history of Bolivian rock.
Started in La Paz, Bolivia, in 1988, the band comprises:

The first name of the band was "Coda 3" and under this name they recorded four albums of their own compositions with independent record companies in Bolivia.
In 1995 the band's music became known outside Bolivia when its songs were aired by the most important music broadcast those days, MTV Latinoamérica. This opened the possibilities for international record companies to include the band's name on their lists, their name.
In 1996 the band signed a three-album deal with Sony Music Entertainment. To avoid being confused with a Mexican band by the name of Coda, they changed their name to Octavia.
The first of these albums was "aura" in 1996, an album which later became an icon for the Bolivian market, with record sales and a platinum disc. Three more albums were created under this contract.
Some of the band's music videos were broadcast on well known music channels such as MTVla, Telehit and Ritmoson Latino.
All these productions went Gold or Platinum, which motivated the band to tour the United States of America in 1998 in locations such as:Miami, Washington, Virginia, Maryland and New York.
In the year 2000, the band was invited to one of the most important music festivals in Latin America, “Rock al Parque” (rock to the park), in Bogotá, Colombia, where they played 2 shows for more than 50,000 viewers. This participation was highlighted in a special report covered by CNN en Español.
The following years, Octavia toured Chile and Peru and extended their contract with Sony Music Entertainment to produce the album “4”. Initially slated to be released in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador, the economic crisis in Argentina obliterates the economic movement of Sony in Bolivia, and nearby countries. Consequently, the new material was not distributed.
Octavia terminated their contract with Sony and in 2003 independently produced the album “Octavia al Aire libre” (Octavia in Open Air), their first live album featuring their greatest hits from 15 years of work.
In 2004 Octavia spent 6 months in Oklahoma, USA and cut a new album called “Talismán”. The album was produced by Tyson Meade - chief of “Chainsaw Kittens” - under Flagstone Records.
On 2005 the band promoted the album “Talismán” all over Bolivia, performing a series of notable concerts such as their appearance in Paceña's FestiMusic in Santa Cruz and La Paz, along with bands such as Ataque 77 (Argentina) and Kumbia Kings (USA). In the first months of 2006 the band planned the release of “Talisman” in Argentina.
In December 2006 Octavia released a five-song EP called "Masterplan" to fulfill the Bolivian audience's demand for new material after "Talisman".
The band also worked with the Bolivian Beer company "Paceña" to create and release the single "Paceña's theme" as an official song for the brand.

Fiel a La Vega is a Rock en Español band from Puerto Rico formed in 1994. The band consisted of members Tito Auger and Ricky Laureano, who come from the northern city of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, along with brothers Pedro and Jorge Arraiza, who come from the neighboring city of Vega Baja. Their hometown is what gave name to the band. Since 1996, they were joined by percussionist Papo Román, who left the band in 2006 to spend time with his family.
Led Zeppelin is a boxed set by English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was the first compilation of songs by the band and the selection and remastering of the tracks were supervised by Jimmy Page. Atlantic Records released it on 7 September 1990 on several formats: four compact discs, six vinyl records, or four cassette tapes. A 36-page booklet was also included with the release.
Luis Alberto Spinetta, nicknamed "El Flaco", was an Argentine singer, guitarist, composer and poet. One of the most influential rock musicians of Argentina, he is regarded as one of the founders of Argentine rock, considered the first incarnation of Spanish-language rock. Born in Buenos Aires in the residential neighbourhood of Belgrano, he was the founder of iconic rock bands including Almendra, Pescado Rabioso, Invisible, Spinetta Jade, and Spinetta y Los Socios del Desierto. In Argentina January 23rd is celebrated as "Día Nacional del Músico" in honor of Spinetta's birth
Detonautas Roque Clube is a Brazilian rock band from Rio de Janeiro. Usually the lyrics of their songs relate to violence, political corruption and love.
El Gran Silencio is a rock en español band from Monterrey, Mexico that blends a variety of rock, reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop influences with traditional Latin American musical forms such as cumbia, vallenato and Norteño. Their lyrics tend to be bohemian and often talk about life in the “barrio” or poor neighborhoods of Mexican cities, especially Monterrey. As of 2015, they have recorded seven albums, eleven singles, six soundtracks, five tributes and seventeen collaborations and have toured Mexico and the United States.
Cidade Negra is a Brazilian reggae band formed in 1986 in Rio de Janeiro. Their style is influenced by soul and rock music. Common themes of Cidade Negra songs include love and social issues.
Libido is a Peruvian rock band formed in 1996.
Attaque 77, sometimes stylized as A77aque, is an Argentine punk rock group. The band was formed in 1987 as a group of friends who got together to play their favorite songs, most of them by The Ramones, their favorite band and the one that influenced them the most. They started writing songs in the same punk rock style, with lyrics with proletarian content, and wore denim jackets, which became one of their hallmarks in their beginnings. Currently, only three members continue performing and recording.
La Quinta Estación was a Spanish pop/rock band composed of two musicians from Madrid: Natalia Jiménez and Ángel Reyero (guitar). Pablo Domínguez (2001–2008) was the third member until his recent split. The band originated in Madrid with six members but the remaining three relocated to Mexico in 2001 after recording their first album Primera toma.
Coda is a Rock en Español band from Mexico, formed in 1989. The band had much of success in the early 1990s, releasing four albums. In the late 1990s, the band had several line-up changes; the band disbanded in 2000, but resurfaced in 2002 with a new line-up.
Esquivando Charcos is the first album by Argentine band La Renga. Until 1991 it was only available in cassette and it was not available in music shops, although the live versions of these songs can be heard in the album Bailando En Una Pata. It was recorded, distributed and produced in a totally independent way by the band.
Yuridia Valenzuela Canseco, commonly known as Yuri, is a Mexican singer, actress and television host. Yuri began her career as a teenage singer in her native country. In 1978 she released her first album titled Tú Iluminas mi Vida. She gained recognition as a result of her participation in the Oti Festival in 1980. In the 1980s and early 1990s, Yuri established herself as one of the most popular pop music singers in Mexico and Latin America. Her vocal quality and versatility allow her to be incorporated into other musical genres, ranging from pop to dance, ranchera and tropical music genres. Thanks to her success and influence, she came to be considered the "Queen of Latin Pop".
Nenhum de Nós is a Brazilian pop rock band formed in 1986 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The band primarily consists of former Engenheiros do Hawaii member Carlos Stein (guitar), João Vicenti (keyboards), Sady Hömrich (drums), Thedy Corrêa and Veco Marques (guitar). One of the most famous Brazilian pop rock bands, they are well known for the song "Camila, Camila".

Tangana, featuring Andres Calamaro, Best Alternative Song for "Nominao", by C. Tangana featuring Jorge Drexler, and the Latin Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album.

Electro-Acústico is a compilation album by Brazilian rock band Zero. Their first release in 13 years since the studio album Carne Humana, it came out in 2000 by Sony Music Entertainment. It is a compilation of electronic-influenced acoustic re-recordings of some of the band's old songs, particularly ranging from their 1985 EP Passos no Escuro to Carne Humana, plus four previously unreleased tracks. The album counts with guest appearances by Philippe Seabra of Plebe Rude and Bruno Gouveia of Biquini Cavadão.
"No Pasa Nada" is a song written and recorded by the American musical duo Ha*Ash. It was released on March 8, 2018 as the second of the single from their fifth studio album 30 de Febrero (2017). The song then included on their live album Ha*Ash: En Vivo (2019). It was written by Ashley Grace, Hanna Nicole and José Luis Ortega.

Acústico MTV: Charlie Brown Jr. is the first live album by Brazilian alternative rock band Charlie Brown Jr., released both in CD and DVD formats on September 20, 2003 through EMI as part of now-defunct MTV Brasil's Acústico MTV series – the Brazilian equivalent of MTV Unplugged. It was recorded at the Teatro Mars in São Paulo from August 5–6, 2003, in a lavish set decorated as the nave of a Gothic church.
