Octavia Sperati, formerly known as Octavia, is a Norwegian gothic metal band from Bergen, Norway.

The group released their debut album Winter Enclosure in 2005. Their second album, Grace Submerged , was released in May 2007. Both albums were released by Candlelight Records, [1] and both releases were followed by a tour in the United Kingdom. [2] The band is currently all female except for the drummer, Ivar Alver.

On 20 July 2008, Octavia Sperati announced that they would be "taking a break."

On 10 March 2009, it was announced that their singer Silje Wergeland had joined Dutch rock band The Gathering, replacing singer Anneke van Giersbergen.

On 21 February 2015, Wergeland announced Octavia Sperati's reunion via Twitter. [3]

The West Pole is the ninth studio album by the Dutch rock band The Gathering. It is the first album to feature the new vocalist Silje Wergeland, previous frontwoman of Norwegian gothic metal band Octavia Sperati. This album also includes two guest singers, Dutch Anne van den Hoogen and Mexican Marcela Bovio, as well as other guest musicians. Music videos were made of the songs "All You Are" and "No Bird Call".

Dr. Acula is an American deathcore band from Long Island, New York. Formed in 2005, the group has released six studio albums and one EP. They were signed to Victory Records at the time of their initial disbandment and are currently signed to Silent Pendulum Records. The band is known for the use of soundclips from movies and TV shows as an accent to their songs. Their band name is derived from an alternative perspective from the name of Dracula, which was originally part of a joke coined by comedian Mitch Hedberg. After disbanding in 2012, the original line up reunited in late 2019 and released their 6th album, Dr. Acula in September of 2022.
