East Timor, also known as Timor-Leste and officially as the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, held from July 27 to August 12, 2012. This was the nation's fourth appearance at the Olympics, although it was first appeared as part of the Individual Olympic Athletes. Two marathon runners were selected to the team by wildcard places, without having qualified at any sporting event. East Timor, however, has yet to win its first Olympic medal.

Andreea Ștefania Chițu is a Romanian judoka who competes in the women's –52 kg category. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she was defeated in the second round by Ilse Heylen, having beaten Soraya Haddad in the first round. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she beat Laura Gómez in her first match, before losing to Odette Giuffrida in the quarter-finals. Because Giuffrida reached the final, Chițu entered the repechage. She was eliminated in the repechage by Érika Miranda.
Lü Zhiwu, more commonly spelled "Lv Zhiwu", is a Chinese swimmer, who competed for Team China at the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he was part of the Chinese 4 x 200 m team that won bronze.
Ana María Gallay is an Argentine beach volleyball player. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Navab Nassirshalal is an Iranian retired weightlifter who won a gold medal in the men's 105 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He began weightlifting at the age of 15 and has also won a bronze medal in the 94 kg class snatch at the 2007 Asian Weightlifting Championships, silver in the 94 kg clean and jerk and bronze overall at the 2009 edition, and gold in the 105 kg category in 2012.
Stefanos Dimitriadis is a Greek swimmer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's 100 metre butterfly and 200 m butterfly, finishing in 40th and 23rd places overall respectively in the heats, failing to qualify for the semifinals.
Cui Qiuxia is a Chinese field hockey player. At the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics she competed with the China women's national field hockey team in the women's tournament.
Odette Giuffrida is an Italian judoka. She won the gold medal in the women's 52 kg event at the 2024 World Judo Championships held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She competed at the 2023 World Judo Championships, where she placed third in the women's 52 kg.
Odette Mistoul is a Gabonese former track and field athlete who competed in the shot put. She represented her country at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, placing 13th in the final. She was also her nation's Olympic flag bearer that year. She was the first woman to represent Gabon at the Olympics. She won the first three gold medals in women's shot put at the African Championships in Athletics from 1979 to 1984.
