A narcocorrido is a subgenre of the Regional Mexican corrido genre, from which several other genres have evolved. This type of music is heard and produced on both sides of the Mexico–US border. It uses a danceable, polka, waltz or mazurka rhythmic base.
Sueños Líquidos is the fifth studio album recorded by Mexican rock band Maná, It was released by WEA Latina on October 14, 1997. After its release for the first time in over 36 countries across the globe, the band began to receive wide international attention, especially in Spain and the U.S., where the album sold over one million copies. This album was born of the desire to create an environment where water, a vital element, has an important presence. Because of this, the record was recorded in the coastal city of Puerto Vallarta, an important location in the creative atlas of Maná. Sueños Líquidos garnered Maná its first Grammy Award, for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Performance. The album was given a Premio Lo Nuestro award for "Pop Album of the Year" which was shared with Shakira for "¿Dónde están los ladrones?. It was released on DVD-Audio format in 2001. As of 2000, it sold 5 millions of copies.

¿Dónde Jugarán los Niños? is the second studio album released by Mexican rock band Maná released in 1992. This album contained many of the hits that catapulted them to international fame and established them as one of the leading Latin rock acts of the 1990s, including "Oye Mi Amor", "¿Dónde Jugarán los Niños?", "Vivir Sin Aire", "Te Llore Un Río", "Cómo te deseo" and "De pies a cabeza". The album peaked at #4 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums Chart. Former electric guitarist Ulises Calleros was replaced by César "Vampiro" López. The band re-released this album with bonus remixes on February 15, 1994. Singer Mijares covered "Vivir sin Aire" in his 2009 Spanish album Vivir Así. "Oye Mi Amor" is one of the international songs included in the rhythm video game Rock Band 3. To date, it has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, becoming the Best-selling Spanish language rock album of all time.
Busca una Mujer, also known as Un Hombre Busca una Mujer, is the sixth studio album by Mexican singer Luis Miguel. It was mainly written and produced by Juan Carlos Calderón, and released on November 25, 1988, as the second album released with Warner Music. "Fría Como el Viento" was released as the album's lead single, which spent seven months on the top-ten of many record charts in Latin America. The success of "Fría Como el Viento" almost overshadowed the rest of the singles released from the album. The album title was simply Busca una Mujer since his name would complement the title. On the Billboard Hot Latin Songs Year-End Chart of 1989, "La Incondicional" appeared at number three. "Separados" has since become known among fans of professional wrestling for being the entrance theme of Japanese masked wrestler Último Dragón, outside of his tenure in WWE.
Vivo is the third live album by Mexican singer Luis Miguel. It was filmed at the Auditorio Coca-Cola concert hall in Monterrey, Mexico, where Miguel performed from 13 to 17 April 2000, as part of the second leg of his Amarte Es Un Placer Tour. Vivo was released in a live audio CD, DVD and VHS format. Vivo is the first Spanish-language live album to be released on NTSC, PAL, and DVD formats. The audio version was produced by Miguel while David Mallet directed the video album. The audio disc was released on 3 October 2000, while the video album was released on 24 October. Miguel's renditions of "Y" and "La Bikina", which he specifically performed during the concert shows in Mexico where he was joined by Cutberto Pérez's band Mariachi 2000, made available as singles for the album.
Maná MTV Unplugged is a live album by Mexican rock band Maná. It was an acoustic set performed for MTV Unplugged in Miami on March 9, 1999, and released on CD and DVD on June 22, 1999. It includes exclusive re-make versions of the José Alfredo Jiménez song "Te Solte La Rienda", the Rubén Blades song "Desapariciones", and "Se Me Olvidó Otra Vez" by Juan Gabriel. As of 2000, it sold 2 millions of copies.
Los Huracanes del Norte are a Regional Mexican band. Throughout their history, they have played different styles of Norteño music, such as traditional Norteño from northeastern Mexico, rough Norteño from Mexico’s pacific northwest, and saxophone Norteño popular in Mexico’s landlocked states. They are originally from Yahualica de González Gallo, Jalisco and were raised in Tangancícuaro, Michoacán. They are currently based out of Portales, New Mexico, United States. They are one of Regional Mexican music’s most famous acts.
