Ognyanovo reservoir, also called Lake Ognyanovo, or Ognyanova, is a reservoir in Bulgaria near Sofia. Holding 32 million cubic metres of water, it is an important reservoir in Bulgaria. It impounds the waters of the Lesnovska river.
On October 27, 2011, while filming The Expendables 2 , stuntman Kun Liu was killed and another, Nuo Sun, critically injured in a staged explosion on a rubber boat. Sun underwent a five-hour operation, which left him in stable condition. [1] [2]

In 2018 it handled 3,277,229 passengers, a 9.9% increase compared to 2017.
Dimitar Ivanov Berbatov is a Bulgarian former professional footballer. A striker, he captained the Bulgaria national team from 2006 to 2010, and is the country's all-time leading goalscorer. He has also won the Bulgarian Footballer of the Year a record seven times, surpassing the number of wins by Hristo Stoichkov.

The Sofia Metro is the rapid transit network servicing the Bulgarian capital city Sofia. It began operation on January 28, 1998. As of July 2016, the Sofia Metro consists of two interconnected lines, serving 35 stations, with a total route length of 40.0 kilometres (24.9 mi) being among the top 30 of the most extensive European metro systems. The Metro links the densely populated districts of Lyulin – Mladost and Nadezhda – Lozenets, and serves the Sofia Airport.

With partner and fiance Maxim Staviski, she is a two-time (2006–2007) World champion, a two-time (2003–2004) European silver medalist, and the 2006 Grand Prix Final champion. Denkova and Staviski are the first Bulgarians to medal at the World Figure Skating Championships.

The Maritsa Iztok Complex is the largest energy complex in South Eastern Europe. It is located in Stara Zagora Province, south-central Bulgaria. It consists of three lignite-fired thermal power stations. The complex is located in a large lignite coal basin, which includes several mines, enrichment plants, a briquette plant and its own railway system. The development of the thermal power and mining complex at Maritsa Iztok began in 1952, but the lignite deposits used to be known well in the mid-19th century. The Maritsa Iztok mines and power plants are interdependent as the only market for coal is the power plants, while the power plants have no other supplier of coal but the mines.
The Arena Armeec is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Sofia, Bulgaria. It has a seating capacity of 12,373. For concerts it can grow to 17,906. It was originally called Arena Sofia before the Bulgarian insurance company Armeec purchased the naming rights. There are 887 parking lots, 614 of them placed in a central exterior parking, 231 placed in near streets and 42 designated for disabled people.
The 2010–11 A Group was the 87th season of the Bulgarian national top football division, and the 63rd of A Group as the top tier football league in the country. The season commenced on 31 July 2010 and ended with the last games on 28 May 2011. The winter break was between the weekends around 29 November 2010 and 26 February 2011. Litex Lovech had defended their 2009/10 A Group title and became champions for 2 years in a row.
FC Vitosha is a Bulgarian association football club based in Bistritsa, Sofia City Province, which competes in the First League, the top division of Bulgarian football, following their promotion from the Second League in 2017. It is named after the Vitosha mountain range, where Bistritsa is located.

Boyko Metodiev Borisov is a Bulgarian politician who has been serving as Prime Minister of Bulgaria since May 2017. He was previously Prime Minister on two other occasions, from 2009 to 2013, and from 2014 to January 2017, making him Bulgaria's third-longest serving Prime Minister to date.
