Oliver Henry Hobden is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for EFL Championship club Charlton Athletic.

Career

Charlton Athletic

Coming through the youth system of Charlton Athletic, having joined the club at U11 level, Hobden signed his first professional deal with the club on 24 May 2023. ^[3] On 6 August 2025, Hobden extended his contract with Charlton Athletic. ^[4]

Hobden made his professional debut for the club as a 20–year–old, playing the first 64 minutes of a 3–1 EFL Cup defeat away at Cambridge United on 26 August 2025. ^{[5] [6]}

Chatham Town (loan)

On 25 August 2023, Hobden joined Chatham Town on loan where he played 12 times in all competitions scoring one goal. ^{[7] [8]}
