Oliver Kuusik (born 21 July 1980 in Tallinn) is an Estonian opera singer (tenor) [1] [2] [3]

In 2006 he graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama's Opera Studio. [1]

Since 2008 he is a tenor soloist at the Estonian National Opera. [1]

He is a member of Association of Estonian Professional Musicians. [1]

Harry Gustaf Nikolai Gädda, better known as Nicolai Gedda, was a Swedish operatic tenor. Debuting in 1951, Gedda had a long and successful career in opera until the age of 77 in June 2003, when he made his final operatic recording. Skilled at languages, he performed operas in French, Russian, German, Italian, English, Czech and Swedish, as well as one in Latin. In January 1958, he created the part of Anatol in the world premiere of the American opera Vanessa at the Metropolitan Opera. Having made some two hundred recordings, Gedda is one of the most widely recorded opera singers in history. His singing is best known for its beauty of tone, vocal control, and musical perception.

Matthew Polenzani is an American lyric tenor. He has appeared with the Metropolitan Opera, Seattle Opera, Royal Opera House, Bayerische Staatsoper, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Vienna State Opera, and San Francisco Opera, among others. The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre began as a mixed choir of the Estonia Society Musical Department (EMD) on the eve of World War I. The assembly of the Estonia Society created the Tallinn Higher Music School on November 17, 1918. The opening ceremony took place on September 28, 1919. Timotheus Kuusik, also known as Timotheos Kuusik or Timofei Kuusik, was an Estonian school teacher, author, translator, editor and councilman. He was born on 5 January 1863 in Lalli, a village on the island of Muhu. He was elected to the Estonian Provincial Assembly, which governed the Autonomous Governorate of Estonia between 1917 and 1919, and served the full term as a member of the assembly. He did not sit in the newly formed Republic of Estonia's Asutav Kogu or its Riigikogu (Parliament). He died on 14 May 1940 in Tallinn.
