The National Democratic Alliance is an Indian big tent multi-party political alliance, led by the country's biggest political party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It was founded on 15 May 1998. It currently has a majority in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, and controls the Government of India as well as the governments of 19 out of 28 Indian states and one Union territory.
Arunachal Congress (AC) was a regional political party in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Arunachal Congress (Mithi), was a break-away group of Arunachal Congress. AC(M) was formed in 1998 when Mukut Mithi led a revolt against the AC leader Gegong Apang. AC(M) gathered 40 (out of 60) Members of the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh and one of the AC members of the Lok Sabha, Wangcha Rajkumar. AC(M) formed a new state government, with Mithi as Chief Minister. In 1999 AC(M) merged with Indian National Congress. It remained in power until 2003.
Congress (Dolo), a group that split away from Indian National Congress in Arunachal Pradesh. Congress (D) was founded July 25, 2003 by Kameng Dolo. Together with Gegong Apang of Arunachal Congress, Congress (D) formed a state government. On August 30, 2003, Congress (D) merged with Bharatiya Janata Party.
Peoples Party of Arunachal is a regional political party in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It was founded in September 1977 by Bakin Pertin, Oken Lego and L. Wanglat as president, Vice President and General Secretary of the party. Tomo Riba resigned from PK Thungon government of Congress Party and joined PPA as Vice President of the Party. Currently, Kamen Ringu is the chairman of the party. They were in power in Arunachal until all of their MLAs defected back to Indian National Congress.
Gegong Apang is an Indian politician from Arunachal Pradesh. He served as the 3rd Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh from 18 January 1980 to 19 January 1999 and again from August 2003 to April 2007. He is a member of the Janata Dal (Secular) and was a member of the Indian National Congress before 2016. Apang is the Arunachal Pradesh's longest serving Chief Minister and also the fourth longest serving Chief Minister of an Indian state after Pawan Kumar Chamling of Sikkim, Jyoti Basu of West Bengal and Naveen Patnaik of Odisha.
The Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh represents two Lok Sabha constituencies. Following the 25 July 2003 Congress split, Gegong Apang formed the state government with the help of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Congress had an alliance with its splinter group Arunachal Congress. Congress candidate and former Arunachal Congress leader Wangcha Rajkumar contested Arunachal East and AC candidate Kamen Ringu contested Arunachal West. Nationalist Trinamool Congress had a candidate in Arunachal West, competing against BJP. BJP won both seats with comfortable margins.
Daggubati Purandeswari is an Indian politician from the state of Andhra Pradesh. She is the president of Bharatiya Janata Party, Andhra Pradesh. She is currently serving as a Member of Parliament of Lok Sabha representing the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha constituency.
Ninong Ering is an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He represented the Arunachal East in Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian Parliament from 2009 to 2019. He was the Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs from 2012 to 2014. He resigned from the Indian National Congress and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on 25 February 2024.
The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election of 2009 took place in October 2009, concurrently with the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana. The elections were held in the state for all 60 Assembly seats on 2009-10-13. The results were declared on 2009-10-22. Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu's Indian National Congress party came back to power in the state with an increased majority, winning 42 seats in the 60 seat Assembly.
Nabam Tuki is an Indian politician and a former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. He held this position twice between 2011 and 2016. His first term was from November 2011 to January 2016, while the second term merely lasted 3 days in the month of July 2016. He belongs to the Indian National Congress. He is the last Congress Chief Minister to win re-election as of 2024.
Dara Singh Chauhan is an Indian politician, currently serving as member of legislative council, and formerly represented the Madhuban in Uttar Pradesh as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was former Cabinet Minister in Yogi Adityanath ministry. He also represented Ghosi in the 15th Lok Sabha, where he was leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party. In 16th Lok Sabha, he was defeated by Harinarayan Rajbhar who represented Bharatiya Janata Party by more than 140,000 votes.
Kalikho Pul was an Indian politician and former Chief Minister of the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh for a brief time in 2016. He was elected five times from the Hayuliang Vidhan Sabha constituency representing the Indian National Congress. With the support of a few elected members of Congress and the opposing Bharatiya Janata Party, he took Chief Ministership of Arunachal Pradesh. However, the Supreme Court of India ruled against this appointment on various grounds. On 9 August 2016, Pul allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his official residence in Itanagar; Pul's supporters protested in Itanagar demanding an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Kameng Dolo is an Indian politician from Arunachal Pradesh. He served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh in Kalikho Pul's government as well as Gegong Apang.
The North-East Democratic Alliance is a political coalition that was formed on May 24, 2016, by Bharatiya Janata Party. The motive of the new political front was to unite non-Congress parties in Northeast India. Himanta Biswa Sarma was appointed as the convenor of the front.
Alo Libang is an Indian politician from the state of Arunachal Pradesh. He is the current Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Women and Child Development & Tribal Affairs of Arunachal Pradesh.
Honchun Ngandam is an Indian politician from Arunachal Pradesh. He is a member of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He contested from the Pongchau-Wakka constituency in Longding district representing Bharatiya Janata Party and won the 2024 Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. He also served as a Minister of Rural Works Department in Pema Khandu government earlier.
Biyuram Wahge is an Indian politician from Arunachal Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the president of state's BJP unit. He is a member of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing Pakke-Kessang constituency.
