The Omar Sultan Foundation [1] is a Bangladeshi charitable organization that offers scholarships to underprivileged and meritorious students across the country.

Contents

The foundation extends its support to top-ranked Bangladeshi Universities for better and quality education and also helps the underprivileged students of Bangladesh. The United College of Aviation, Science & Management is one of the sister concerns of this foundation.

History

The foundation was established by Chondonaish Thana in Alhaz M Nurul Amin, Bangladesh. Its mission was to create a digital Bangladesh and promote it as a skilled and efficient nation.

Omar Sultan Foundation Computer Lab at Faculty of Business Studies, Dhaka University [2] and Omar Sultan Dental Department at USTC [3] Chittagong received donations from this foundation.

Bangladesh Technical Education Board Technical education board controlled by the Government of Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Technical Education Board is a state regulatory board responsible for monitoring and developing technical and vocational education in the secondary level (SSC), 2-year higher secondary level (HSC/Vocational) and 4-year Diploma in Engineering degree throughout the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The board sets the curriculum, develops learning materials, grants affiliation to technical and vocational institutions, governs admissions, conducts examination, and awards diploma certifications.

Nurul Islam was a Bangladeshi physician and educator. In 1987, he was selected as the National Professor of Bangladesh. He founded and served as the vice-chancellor of University of Science and Technology Chittagong. He was a Founding Fellow of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences since 1973. He served as the personal physician of Bangladeshi President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Bangabandhu Memorial Hospital

Bangabandhu Memorial Hospital (BBMH) is the largest private hospital in Chittagong, Bangladesh. With 220 beds and 15 wards, it serves between 700 and 1,000 patients per day, about three-quarters of them as outpatients. Dr Pakhtoon started his internship on 17/12/2018 in this hospital. Established in 1994 on the campus of the University of Science and Technology, Chittagong (USTC), it is run by the university and serves as the teaching hospital for its medical school, the Institute of Applied Health Science (IAHS). It is classified as one of the country's 23 "referral" hospitals, generally meaning one to which patients are referred by other healthcare entities because it is better equipped and employs medical specialists.
