OnApp was a London, UK-based software company. Its software enabled service providers to build, operate and sell IaaS [2] public cloud, private cloud and content delivery network services. OnApp also operated the OnApp Federation, [3] a wholesale cloud infrastructure marketplace, which enabled service providers to buy and sell cloud infrastructure managed by OnApp software; and enables enterprises to adopt a hybrid cloud model by combining their on-premises cloud infrastructure with public cloud resources.

On 8 August 2011 OnApp announced the acquisition of Aflexi, a CDN management software company [14]

On 16 September 2014 OnApp announced the acquisition of SolusVM, a virtual server management software company. [15] On 7 June 2018, SolusVM was acquired from OnApp by Plesk [16]

On 16 August 2021, Virtuozzo announced that it had acquired OnApp. [17]

iland

iland Internet Solutions was a provider of hosted cloud infrastructure as a service for production business applications, disaster recovery and business continuity, testing and development, and software as a service enablement for independent software vendors. 11:11 Systems agreed to buy iland in December 2021. When the merger completed in January 2022, all of iland's services and assets were transferred to 11:11.

ElasticHosts was a computer service provider based in London, England. It was founded in March 2008, and closed on 30 June 2020. It provided a cloud computing service, which used ten data centres; in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, United States, Canada, Hong Kong and Australia.

OpenNebula is an open source cloud computing platform for managing heterogeneous data center, public cloud and edge computing infrastructure resources. OpenNebula manages on-premises and remote virtual infrastructure to build private, public, or hybrid implementations of Infrastructure as a Service and multi-tenant Kubernetes deployments. The two primary uses of the OpenNebula platform are data center virtualization and cloud deployments based on the KVM hypervisor, LXD/LXC system containers, and AWS Firecracker microVMs. The platform is also capable of offering the cloud infrastructure necessary to operate a cloud on top of existing VMware infrastructure. In early June 2020, OpenNebula announced the release of a new Enterprise Edition for corporate users, along with a Community Edition. OpenNebula CE is free and open-source software, released under the Apache License version 2. OpenNebula CE comes with free access to patch releases containing critical bug fixes but with no access to the regular EE maintenance releases. Upgrades to the latest minor/major version is only available for CE users with non-commercial deployments or with significant open source contributions to the OpenNebula Community. OpenNebula EE is distributed under a closed-source license and requires a commercial Subscription.

Veeam Software was co-founded by two Russian entrepreneurs, Ratmir Timashev and Andrei Baronov. While Veeam's start was built on protecting data across virtualized workloads, it has significantly expanded to protect data across a wide variety of platforms from AWS, Azure, google Cloud, Microsoft 365, Kubernetes etc. Veeam's current CEO, Anand Eswaran, has been pushing Veeam's strategy to accelerate share in the enterprise with adding several layers to Veeam's partnerships. Veeam Backup & Replication is a proprietary backup app developed by Veeam for virtual environments built on VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisors. The software provides backup, restore and replication functionality for virtual machines, physical servers and workstations as well as cloud-based workload.

Virtuozzo is a software company that develops virtualization and cloud management software for cloud computing providers, managed services providers and internet hosting service providers. The company's software enables service providers to offer Infrastructure as a service, Container-as-a-Service, Platform as a service, Kubernetes-as-a-Service, WordPress-as-a-Service and other solutions.
