On Broken Wings is an American metalcore band from Hull, Massachusetts, that formed in 2001. Often credited with pioneering the sound, and coining the term, of "moshcore", [2] a term originally used by the band to describe their fusion of metal with elements of post-hardcore and hardcore breakdowns. AllMusic described their style as post-emo metalcore with elements of grindcore. [1]

After the self-released Number One Beautiful EP, they caught the attention of Eulogy Recordings, where they released two albums over the next five years, 2003's Some of Us May Never See the World and 2005's It's All a Long Goodbye . In early 2007, On Broken Wings released an EP entitled Going Down, which contained the original Number One Beautiful EP as well as four new songs.

Distance Only Makes the Heart Grow Fonder is the third release by American metalcore band Poison the Well, following their split 12" vinyl with Promise No Tomorrow and a demo tape sold during the band's summer 1998 tour. The demo tape featured a selection of songs from this recording session, which is in turn a re-recording of the songs previously released on their split with Promise No Tomorrow. Morning Again is an American metalcore band from Florida. They were known for their metallic sound as well as for their straight edge, vegan, anti-religious and anti-government ideals. The band was originally from Cooper City, Florida, but moved to Coral Springs in 1998 before breaking up later that year. Hoods is a hardcore punk band from Sacramento, California. Formed in 1994 by Mike "Mikey Hood" Mraz who later added Logan Murray, Tony Goodloe and Billy Gaffney. Hoods shows influences such as Madball, Sick of It All, Minor Threat and Cro-Mags. They released their first EP entitled Once Again in 1996 and concentrated on live performances. After numerous fights between fans and an altercation between a couple of the band members and a police officer, the band left the Sacramento area. The band moved to the San Francisco Bay Area playing shows with groups such as Powerhouse, Redemption 87 and Skin Lab. In 1997 after a disagreement with bandmates and his mother's illness Gaffney left and was replaced by Jeremy. Murray and Goldoe then left and were replaced by Ben and Mario.

Twelve Tribes was an American metalcore band, from Dayton, Ohio, United States. Originally established in 1997, the group were signed to the independent record label Ferret Music. They were influenced by a cross cultural array of music such as punk rock, hip hop, classic rock, drum & bass, metal and hardcore.

Starkweather is an American metal band from Philadelphia formed in 1989. They have a complex experimental metal sound often including use of dissonance, intricate tempo changes and avant-garde sensibilities. Antagony has released three albums, each on a different record label. Members of Antagony have gone on to form bands such as Oblivion, All Shall Perish.
