One Sydney Harbour is a skyscraper complex under construction in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It includes 808 apartments in three towers, and is being built by Lendlease. [2] The three towers are 247 metres (72 floors), 230m (68), and 104m (29) tall respectively. [3] The project is part of the major urban renewal precinct of Barangaroo, which also includes International Towers Sydney and Crown Sydney. The project was first proposed as an early concept in 2013, before Renzo Piano's design entry was appointed as the final design in 2015. [4] Approval was given to the two towers in 2017, with construction commencing in 2019. [5]

The area is inclusive of The Hungry Mile, the name harbourside workers gave to the docklands area of Darling Harbour East during The Great Depression, where workers would walk from wharf to wharf in search of a job, often failing to find one.

Central Park is a major mixed-use urban renewal project in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia located on Broadway in the suburb of Chippendale. The development is focused on a new public park located just off Broadway of approximately 6,500 square metres (70,000 sq ft) in size. For many decades the southern side of Broadway was dominated by a brewery, which closed in the 2000s and the site was put up for sale. Frasers Property purchased the site from the Foster's Group on 29 June 2007. On a difficult site, the design fitted the towers around the streets, created new public spaces and connections to the city, added 30,000 specially selected plants, included art work, and incorporated pedestrian as well as vehicular access.

The International Towers Sydney are three commercial skyscrapers in central Sydney, in the Barangaroo area. Construction on the towers began in 2013 and ended in mid 2016. They form the core of the commercial, residential, retail and leisure development at Barangaroo South. More than 50 per cent of the Barangaroo South precinct is accessible to the public. The ITS development delivers 283,900 m2 of commercial office space, approximately 800 residential apartments, up to 90 retail outlets and a landmark international hotel, Crown Sydney.

Barangaroo ferry wharf

Barangaroo ferry wharf is a ferry wharf located on the eastern side of Darling Harbour, in Sydney, Australia. The wharf is the major public transport link of the Barangaroo precinct, situated west of the Sydney central business district. The complex consists two wharves, with provision for a third wharf in the future. It is serviced by Sydney Ferries' F3 Paramatta River and F4 Pyrmont Bay services. The wharf opened on 26 June 2017.

Sydney Metro City & Southwest Rapid transit project

Sydney Metro City & Southwest is a 30 km (19 mi) rapid transit project currently under-construction in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The project will extend the Metro North West Line from Chatswood on the North Shore, to Bankstown in the city's south-west via the Sydney central business district. The centrepiece of the project is a new 15.5 km (9.6 mi) twin-tunnel rail crossing under Sydney Harbour and through the city to Sydenham. Together with planned improvements to the Main Western line, the project is expected to increase capacity on the Sydney rail network by up to 60%, and allow for the movement of over 100,000 extra commuters across the network every hour.

The Sydney Gateway is an under-construction major road interchange between the WestConnex and the airport terminals of Sydney Airport. Construction began in early 2021 and is expected to open in December 2024. It was originally planned to open in late 2023 in conjunction with the M4–M5 Link. The Sydney Gateway will also be constructed in conjunction with the duplication of the nearby Port Botany freight rail line, which is managed by the Australian Rail Track Corporation.

The Sydney Football Stadium, commercially to be known as Allianz Stadium, is a stadium currently under construction in Moore Park, Sydney, Australia. It is scheduled to open on 2 September 2022 as a replacement for the original Sydney Football Stadium. The Sydney Roosters, New South Wales Waratahs and Sydney FC will be the ground's major tenants. It will be used as one of the venues for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, and a Regional Venue for the 2032 Summer Olympics.

Salesforce Tower (Sydney) Commercial in Sydney, Australia

The Salesforce Tower is a skyscraper under construction in Circular Quay, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Designed by Foster + Partners, the building will be the city's tallest office building at a height of 263.1 metres on its scheduled completion date of mid-2022. It is part of a A$5 billion redevelopment of the Circular Quay precinct, alongside the new buildings of Quay Quarter Tower, One Circular Quay, 56 Pitt Street, 200 George Street, the terminus of the new CBD and South East Light Rail and redevelopment of the ferry wharves. The building is being constructed by Lendlease. Construction began in late 2019, and the core of the tower topped out in February 2022.

Urban renewal in Sydney

The urban renewal of Sydney is an ongoing land redevelopment process that is creating and reviving new urban centres across Sydney, Australia. Urban renewal refers to the refurbishment of derelict buildings, streets or neighbourhoods and is accompanied with the process of gentrification attributed by changes in land use and deindustrialisation of areas. In 2020, there are several projects underway and planned including Barangaroo, The Bays Precinct and Green Square.
