The Order of Military Merit (Wisam al-Istahaqaq al-Askari) is an order of the Kingdom of Jordan.

It was instituted in 1976 by King Hussein bin Talal.
The Order of Military Merit is awarded for distinguished services by members of the Jordanian armed forces and foreign military officials. Civilians may also receive the order in reward for exceptional services in the defence of the Kingdom.
The Order of Military Merit is awarded in five classes:
Grand Cordon: awarded to general officers and above.
Grand Officer: awarded to full colonels and above.
Commander: awarded to field officers and above.
Officer: awarded to officers below field rank.
Knight: awarded to other ranks.

The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) is, in principle, the highest-ranking and senior most uniformed military officer, typically at four-star rank, in the Pakistan Armed Forces who serves as a Principal Staff Officer and a chief military adviser to the civilian government led by elected Prime minister of Pakistan and his/her National Security Council. The role of advisement is also extended to the elected members in the bicameral Parliament and the Ministry of Defence. The Chairman leads the meetings and coordinates the combined efforts of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC), comprising the Chairman, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Air Staff and the Chief of Naval Staff, Commandant of Marines, DG Coast Guards and Strategic Plans Division, and commanders of the service branches in the Civil Armed Forces and the National Guard.
The Command and Staff College is the Pakistan Army's staff college for mid-career army officers. As the Army Staff College it was initially established in 1905 at Deolali and later shifted to Quetta in 1907, Baluchistan, British India, now in Pakistan. It has been the alma mater of many renowned soldiers. After the partition of India, those staff not staying in Pakistan moved to Wellington Cantonment and formed the Defence Services Staff College.
Pakistan Military Academy, also referred to by its acronym PMA, is an officers training centre located near Kakol village in the city and district of Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Established in October 1947, it is the sole service academy in Pakistan tasked with training cadets to serve as army officers. For educational training, the institution is accredited by NUST.
PAF College Sargodha is a Pakistan Air Force operated boarding school located in Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. It was established in 1953. Founded as a feeding school for Pakistan Air Force Academy, it is now a public school since 1990 funded by the Pakistan Air Force.

General Khalid Shameem WynneNI(M), HI(M)(Urdu: خالد شمیم وائیں; 28 August 1953 – 30 December 2017), was a four-star General in the Pakistan Army who served as the 14th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee appointed in 2010 until retiring on 8 October 2013.

Chief of the General Staff is the most coveted position within the Pakistan Army after that of the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS). Although four-star Chief of the Army Staff is the head of the land forces, CGS is "the organisational lead on both intelligence and operations" hence being in charge of the MI and MO Directorates. Since 1985 a three-star lieutenant general is appointed to the post of CGS.

He served 17th Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. Raza was previously the Corps Commander of the X Corps (Pakistan) and CGS and General Officer Commanding 9th infantry division, Wana and Commandant of the Pakistan Military Academy.
General ; Urdu: جنرل; abbreviated as GEN) is a four-star commissioned general officer and military rank in the Pakistan Army, officially used by the government of Pakistan to denote a supreme leader of the army. It is given to an army general officer upon promotion or possibly a position advancement with a basic pay scale of 22 (BPS-22). It is the highest rank in the armed services with NATO's equivalent-rank code of OF-9, immediately ranks above three-star lieutenant general and below five-star field marshal. Since it is denoted by a four-star rank, it is equivalent to the rank of admiral and air chief marshal. The Pakistan army is led by a senior four-star general as Chief of Army Staff (COAS). The army chief also serves as a senior member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC). A new Chief of Army Staff is not always the most senior of the eligible generals; indeed, as of 2016, the new COAS has been the most senior candidate only four of fourteen times. Army general is a powerful rank in the country designed to command security affairs with military leadership privileges.
