The Order of San Carlos is a state order granted by Colombia. The order was founded 16 August 1954 to honor Colombian citizens and foreign civilians and military officers who have made outstanding contributions to the nation of Colombia, especially in the field of international relations. [2]

The Chilean honours system provides a means for the Government of Chile to reward gallantry, achievement, or service, by both Chileans and non-citizens. The honours system consists of three types of award: orders, decorations and medals. Membership of an Order is conferred to recognise merit in terms of achievement and service. Decorations are conferred to recognise specific deeds of gallantry, bravery, distinguished or meritorious service. Medals are conferred to recognise long and/or valuable service and/or good conduct. Awards to non-citizens are usually only made where the gallantry, achievement or service has advanced Chilean interests in some way. The honours conferred by the Chilean Republic can be divided into two groups: civil and military. Military honours are conferred by the different branches of the Armed Forces of Chile. Civil honours are conferred by the President of Chile or, in some instances, by the government minister relevant to the particular honour.

The Order of Boyacá is the highest peacetime decoration of Colombia. The order is awarded for exceptional service to distinguished Colombian military officers and civilians as well as foreign citizens of friendly nations. Established in 1922, the Order of Boyacá traces its origin to a Cruz de Boyacá that was awarded to the generals who led their forces to victory in the Battle of Boyaca in 1819. Reestablished in 1919 as an award for military personnel the order has undergone revisions and expansions into its current form, with the biggest change happening in 1922 where civilians became eligible to be awarded the Order of Boyaca.

The Medal for Service in War Overseas is a military decoration awarded by Colombia. Established in 1952, the medal was awarded in two classes to members of the Military Forces of Colombia who distinguished themselves in action during the Korean War.

The Order of Military Merit Antonio Nariño is an order granted by Colombia. It is the highest order awarded for meritorious devotion to military duty.

The Order of Military Merit José María Córdova is an order granted by Colombia. Established by Decree 3950 of 28 December 1950, the order is awarded to members of the Army of Colombia who have excelled in discipline and military virtue, provided eminent services and fellowship, or for acts of courage.

The Order of Naval Merit Admiral Padilla is an order granted by Colombia, established by Decree 2409 of 8 July 1947. The order is awarded to Colombian Navy personnel to recognize acts of valor, heroic actions, outstanding and distinguished professional service, and exemplary discipline and fellowship of personnel.

The Order of Health Merit Jose Fernandez Madrid is an order granted by Colombia, established in 1950. The order is awarded for distinguished service in the medical field to the Colombian Armed Forces.

The Order of Omar Torrijos Herrera is an order of Panama, named in honor of Omar Torrijos Herrera (1929-1981), who was the Commander of Panamanian Forces of the Panamanian Revolution. It was created by Act No. 23 on 14 December, 1982 and regulated by Executive Decree No. 336 of 13 July, 1995. The regulation was amended by Executive Decree No. 1 of 11 January, 2006.
