Orduspor Women's Basketball is the women basketball section of Orduspor, a major sports club in Ordu, Turkey. [1]
The team was founded in 2011 and first played in the TKBL. [2] In 2013, it was promoted to the top-tier KBSL. In its three season in the KBSL, it made the playoffs twice before being relegated at the end of the 2015–16 season. On the continental stage, it competed in the EuroCup Women in 2014–15 and 2015–16.
In October 2017, the team folded after three games in the Turkish Women's Basketball League after all the players left the team and the head coach resigned due to its financial difficulties. [3]

The Basketball Super League, also known as the Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Süper Ligi for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional basketball division of the Turkish basketball league system. It replaced the former Turkish Basketball Championship (1946–1967) to become the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) until 2015 when it adopted its current name while the TBL name became exclusive to the second-tier and third-tier divisions.
The Women's Basketball Super League, also known as the ING Women's Basketball Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the top women's professional basketball division of the Turkish women's basketball league system. The league was established in 1980 and is organized by the Turkish Basketball Federation, it replaced the former Turkish Women’s Basketball League which ran between 1956 and 1980. There is also a Turkish Women's Basketball League (TKBL), the second level in the Turkish women's basketball league system. The present TKBL should not be confused with the former TKBL which ran between 1956 and 1980, after the KBSL was founded the TKBL became a second tier league.
